2:47 was the play of the night for me. Franks felt/saw the pressure, didn't panic, stepped up into the pocket and calmly delivered a nice touch pass to Swain for a big gainer. Last year, as soon as that defender got near him, he would have rolled out and either taken a sack, ran out of bounds too early, or launched it into the 47th row. It's amazing how good coaching can help a player. Obviously you take it all with a grain of salt considering the opponent but it looked easy for once. Haven't had that in nearly a decade. Let's carry that growth forward. Go Gators!

I'm just happy they letting Swain get some shine this year.

Travis Pete Swain is a baller, but we’re getting some real log jams at RB and now WR. It’s a good problem to have. The question for Swain is how much time does he see when Kadarius Toney returns? Toney is so electric it’s hard to not put the ball in his hands and it’s got to come at somebody else’s expense. We’ll see, but I like what I’ve seen from Swain and those receivers.

@@HardcoreGator Guess we'll see once Toney's back. Swain has so much potential it's like they only using him to block. I wish we would've kept Justin Watkins, but he messed that up.

@@HardcoreGator I think overall well lose two or potential 3 games this year.
@HardcoreGator

Travis Pete Yeah that’s certainly possible. I think the realistic ceiling is 10-2 with losses to UGA and LSU or FSU. I think the lowest realistic record is 7-5 which would have us losing to Mississippi State, LSU, FSU, UGA, and either South Carolina or Tennessee. I think we’ll go 9-3. I actually have us beating FSU and LSU, but losing to UGA, Mississippi State, and a surprise trip up against South Carolina. But of course my Orange and Blue blood has us going undefeated for a National Championship, winning the Heisman, and sweeping every national award and All-American list.

Mullen magic on Franks! And what's up with the OLine? Improved pass protection but run needs improvement! 🐊

HARDWIRED to SELF-DESTRUCTION we’ve been struggling with making holes for the longest. I completely agree.

I think The O-Line should get better as the season goes along between the tackles but when they run outside of the tackles they did a good job in this game but Mullen kept the run game very simple nothing to crazy I expect a lot of RPO action vs Kentucky and more dialed up runs. I was quite surprised Franks threw that much but Mullen wanted Franks to build his confidence in throwing and he accomplished that in 1 half.

HARDWIRED to SELF-DESTRUCTION Franks was a good QB last year. We just didn’t have a good system.

Go eat a fat one it does need work like I said I'm a die hard Gators fan we should've had 200+ on the ground against them we scored 53 points and not one running back had over 80 yards rushing that's a issue. Prove me wrong dummy
@ews850
@ews850 6 лет назад
Adam Finley I wouldn't worry about it too much. Remember the back-ups came in at the start of the 2nd half. There weren't that many rushing attempts in the first half. Two of the top three team's at the top of the rushing stats list have less yards per attempt as Florida. If you don't want to go crazy over a game against a team that's not any good then I agree, however statistics are whatever. Colorado State is leading the nation in total yards gained and they're 0-2.

I just don't want a season like last year. I want one solid qb and one solid RB to lead us and get the reps they need to be comfortable at playing their position

Must been watching last season’s game. Franks was impressive hands down his best game of his career so far. He was throwing dimes this game
@lamaur1004
@lamaur1004 6 лет назад
Did you watch the first quarter and half of the second I seen more than 5 mistakes I'm a gator fan through and through but we shouldn't have been punting the first half against them flat out
@huggem07
@huggem07 6 лет назад
I was at the game. There were a few times when he would throw into coverage when there was another receiver with nobody within 10 yards of him (Like last year, didn't go through his progressions to find the open guy). He also missed most of those deep throws early (mostly under throwing the receiver). He improved as the game went on, and he's definitely better than last year. Hopefully, the errors were a first-game thing and he will continue to improve with each game.
@lamaur1004

Same thing I saw huggem I just hope he doesn't continue those mistake when we start playing tougher opponents
@brandonmcstay6401

I seen it differently. He put the ball on the money almost every throw got to remember receivers dropped 3 balls. Franks is much improved he ain’t All-SEC right now but has the tools.

DuckDuckGooseChampion1996Through1999 well the gooberhead commentator congratulated the hold by calling it a key block. More like a clear cheat. Dawgs by 10 in Jacksonville.
