❤️ Love how you shared your space in the backpacks. We tend to do his & hers as we use our bags like mini-dressers in the hotels. But the packing cubes work like portable drawers in a way, so hmmm food for thought & thank you!
So many great tips! Thanks for sharing :) we went to London over the holidays and I took a Fanny pack - luckily the younger kids are wearing them now so they’re considered back in style now haha
There’s some very expensive bags out there lol. But you can find good quality ones for reasonable prices. Personally I’d rather save $250 for other stuff and just spend $50 or less on a bag.
I agree wearing clothes more than once and I also used the Febreze refresher spray. Just came back from a 23-day holiday in India, but I wished I had a backpack. I managed a duffel bag with personal item, but that duffel bag got very heavy fast. Great video!
Thank you for such a great and real video. So neither of you brought a laptop, iPad or kindle? Also it looks like you just had the shoes you wore and the sandal slides…is that right? I couldn’t do that…my feet need to alternate shoes…but I love that you could!
Here’s the link to the Segments Merino Wool shirt from Costco. It seems the black is out of stock as I’m posting this, but The colors available change regularly. It seems like they restock in the late summer, like August/September. Super affordable! www.costco.com/segments-ladies'-merino-wool-top.product.100664811.html
I think you are asking about the puffer coats. I got mine from Sam’s Club several years ago. We ordered his from Amazon just over a year ago. Both were very affordable. CAMEL CROWN Men's Packable Down... www.amazon.com/dp/B07RY8XQ6Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
We flew on Norse Atlantic Air. I checked the sizing for all the airlines we flew on that trip to be sure I was compliant with their “hand luggage” requirements. We flew Jet Blue to JFK, Norse Air to Gatwick/London, Air France from Paris to Venice, and Vueling Air from Rome to Barcelona and back to JFK.
We weighed the packs when we left. Mine weighed 17lbs. His weighed 23lbs. They weighed a bit more when we came home, due to souvenirs. I definitely used weight as a determining factor when choosing clothes and items to take.
I just want to say how impressed I am that ppl your age are traveling with personal item BACKPACKS where millennials are on RU-vid boasting about their carryon only suitcases with backpacks (and what fine minimal travelers they are) 🙄
@@arianavalloou are right, there isn’t a competition, however the backpacks we carried were not carry-on sized. They are personal size. 19”x 13”x9” and meet the EU/UK hand luggage requirements.
Additionally, Thanks for the compliment. I am in my 50’s and ultimately I hope to simply inspire people to get packing and travel. Saving money on luggage fees is just one of the ways I save to travel more.
