Thnx for teaching me the music... I'm Form India...and I am talking my rigional language music to international lavel.... Plzzz always be at our side....🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 You are the best and only teacher of mine ..❤️❤️❤️ How can I contact you???🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@droncreation4719 Thanks, I'm hoping to get my new website up soon which will have a contact form. I will link the website on this RU-vid channel when it is up.
Another huge one: press F12 once in a while. F12 helps remove lag by closing all plugin windows, which are usually still open behind other windows. So if you feel like FL's interface is a bit laggy, press F12
Better workflow actually indirectly improves your song quality; the longer you work on the same part to achieve a specific result, the less you will be inspired - thanks for the tips Michael! :)
What do you mean? How can the quality be better by hurrying? You mean that you will finish the song by doing random things and eventually fix them at the end in the mastering? It have nothing to do with the quality of the end result. But if it is easier for you than that is another thing.
9:30 I just want to add that detaching windows also allows you to move the plugin or window to another monitor. I struggled with this for a long time and figured someone out there might be having the same problem.
Tip: Press F12 before closing your project file (do save after) to close all plugins. Makes the loading time of a work in progress project faster whenever u need to go back.
Wow.. Wow wow wow is all I can say... I've been watching your videos for a couple of months now, and I've seen what you have done for me personally in my production journey. I know I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to watch your videos and grow as a producer, as well as probably tens of thousands of other producers and audio engineers who come across your videos.... I don't think I can thank you enough! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Absolutely amazing.
Excellent Michael. I started using FL Studio about two weeks ago, and I'm slowly learning every little thing there is, and everything i have learned so far is mainly from watching your videos. You are a great teacher! I even bought the Arturia Keylab Essential and Akai Fire to make it even easier for me to learn from your videos 😊😊
Bro that Layer plugin tip has me shook. That’s a game changer! Especially with patcher? Yeah FL is GOAT at this moment lol Ableton is close but this is crazy 😂
A video explaining all the jargons commonly used among producers....and all that I have learnt about FL studio is solely by watching your videos..Keep up the amazing work
these are some great tips I'm mad I didn't know earlier. a tip of mine is to use the generators tab under the current project tab in the browser, which can give you access to the controls of any plugin and allow you to control them from there. this is a lifesaver when you want to automate a parameter in a 3rd party plug-in that doesn't support right click in its UI
That's cool, or you can also touch any parameter you wanna automate, then click on "ADD" in the upper left menu, automation for last tweaked parameter, so it will create the automation on the playlist.
Love your channel so much. This video is a very useful recap of so many nice features that can improve our productivity. Was not aware of the Layers yet. Thanks a lot. And hey, your jacket looks great! 😊❤️
There's a trick that I discovered accidentally, but it has been my favorite ever since. All you need to do is 'Press the scroll button' on your mouse and then press the 'Right Click'. Remember that this action needs to be quick and it will open up tools window to select the different cursors and even other playlist options. Do like this comment so I can know if it helped you too. And thanks Michael for this video.
@@STANLEY2BRICKS This worked for me on external mouse. Just press and hold the scroll button, the moment you release the scroll button you have to press the right click of the mouse and you should see a playlist tools and menu appear at the mouse location. I am not sure if this works on all versions of Fruity.
"Never Lose an Idea" is mind blowing! It happened to me so many times, just randomly experimenting with a synth, oh what a nice idea I like it, record, and completely forget what I had in mind. How much I wish I had known this before.......
The professionalism in your channel is *next level*. Got interest towards mixing and mastering only after watching your videos. Also I'd recommend you to give a study planner kinda video... so that beginners like me can knlw what to learn next and next !
@@inthemix No. Let me explain that to you in detail ! I wanna learn mixing and mastering. What I do is just watch random videos on Eq, some compressor tips tricks, then some other day I watch about saturation etc... so at the end of the day I'm learning something, but it's not in a sequential manner or I'd say its not scheduled properly. So that, I finally end up learning pieces about everything . But nothing is 100 percent clear. So what I want you to do is... help me out with a "schedule " . Here's my example... 1. First learn about what an eq is. 2. Then leran about types of eq 3. Then learn how to apply eq 4. Then how to use eq So this was for EQ Next for compressor, 1. What's a compressor 2. How does it work 3. Where to use 4. Types 5. How to Then say a reverb The same applies for every mixing technique. So it'd be great if you give me an idea of the whole mixing picture and a " road map " on what to learn next and next ! Hope you help me .
@@sriramfes I would have to recommend a channel belonging to Dan Worral guy is an engineer and old school, knows his stuff, great resources for topics that are bigger than just FL, such as compression - eq etc etc
One trick I usually use for de-noising is I take the recording of the instrument with the noisy background and a recording of just the noise and reverse the polarity of the noise. De-Noisers might be better though but I'm not sure since they both do the job pretty well to me.
You have the best channel for explaining how this music interface works plus much more tips and work arounds to get the job done right or at best with a little less frustration lol keep up the great tutorials mate cheers
Instrument and audio tracks are ridiculously underrated. Link a sound to a channel and playlist track while auto naming and coloring it in one click. Also when you then automate something on that channel it makes a new playlist track under the main one specifically for that parameter. And with audio tracks, if u set it to a mixer channel ur recording into with a mic, u can set it so when u record a new take it automatically mutes and groups the last take too. So clean for comping
Just wanted to let you know that you are a life changer, for sure not only me thinking that way, your true intentions to serve others is very admirable, you're a master when it comes to teaching in my opinion, you just understand your audience so well... Keep up the awesome work, thank you!!!
I am producing music in FL for more than 10 years and most of those FL Studio Tips tricks I already know. However - turning off slide option when editing automation is a life saver and I wasn't aware of it, thank you Michael! :)
Patcher is an incredible plugin that i use a lot, merging many synths together, combine with FX and tons more, and if you want more than 8 FX on a mixer channel then load patcher in this and add limitless amounts of FX in this instead, it is super underrated actually
Just wanted to say thank you for another useful video about FL Studio. I just started producing electronic music and learned almost everything from Michael.
Thanks. There were a whole lot of useful tips there, especially the de-noise tool in Edison and pretty much every other tip after that I had no idea about and will definitely use!
You're good master who understood students feelings and providing lot of essentials. Thank you master. Your guidelines helps me lot. Smile always Master✌️😁
Im sooo glad i clicked on this video! Long time FL Studio user, but always sticking to the same ways. That sampling trick so save RAM is so neat! SERUM 🙃
Also, you can drag preset plugins into Patcher just like you can with a mixer track. It saves TONS of time if you want to compartmentalize new patches you've accidentally stumbled upon!
Thanks for showing the Detach options, Have been looking for a Tutorial on RU-vid for some time and i didn't find it not until today. The Tips i can give are Hold Ctrl + N to save a duplicate of your current project. On the Playlist after you split by channel use the + and - buttons on the keyboard to select the pattern you want.
O where were you all these years ? I've been struggling with so many "hidden" easy stuff you're showing here for years! Thanks isn't enough 'Guruji' 'Pranam' 🙏
great video! one of my favorite tips would probably be: if your audio clip or pattern needs to be moved over just a little bit but its locked to the grid, you can click Alt+drag to do minor adjustments or put your mouse at the top bar of that clip or pattern and do Shift+Scrollwheel
Midi capture is one of my fav features in Ableton, so its great to see FL does it one step better with selectable time lengths.. I assume it also works with overdubbing pre-recorded midi? That’s how I build up sections in Ableton, keep improving over a loop until I come up with something good - then capture it to a new clip/loop.
