Welcome to my channel! In this video, I play 18 holes T Hazeltine National, site of this year’s US Amateur! I hope you guys enjoy the video. Hazeltine National’s website: www.hazeltinen...
I was at the U.S. Amateur and got to walk Hazeltine right down the fairways with the competitors. I can truly say first hand that Hazeltine is a brute. Kyle, your 74 was very, very impressive from the distance you were playing it at. Great video!
Kyle's talent is so unique. What Kyle could have done in such tough rough is to club up. I play in typical rough most times. Some club pro taught me one time to never use a 60 deg wedge around such greens but to either use my 54 or 50 wedge instead. Really enjoyed this video and looking forward already to the next one coming in the near future.
Fun to watch Kyle. MN resident, have played Hazeltine multiple times. Spot on in your assessment. It's the rough and short game scenarios there that make it SO hard. Course is amazing, but pretty unassuming. Doubles and Triples happen w/o notice leaving us golfers scratching our heads as to what happened.
I’m friends with a guy who works at Hazeltine and he has told me about the painstaking time and efforts put into the greens. I don’t know what it is called but it’s a device that you use to test green speed where you drop a ball in from the top and it rolls out. He told me that they use those every single day and from a foot drop the ball rolls out 16 feet. So the greens are extremely fast typically so playing with the slower greens definitely could’ve provided a significant advantage. Just wanted to share that, great golf I think I would shoot 160 😂
Awesome to hear you're making a run at traditional stroke play tournament golf. Would be really interesting to tell us what kind of adjustments you've had to make in your game. It always seems like wedges would be hard to control with your speed but they seem to keep getting better.
I live in Chaska and have been luckily enough to play in a member/guest at this course. It is mentally difficult and you can find yourself in scenarios that you would think are easy that leave yourself in trouble. My claim to fame is that my ball got used for every shot on hole 7 for eagle!
18 hole videos are always best in my opinion. I think 9 holes are ok every once and a while, like if you collaborate with someone. Just my humble opinion. Keep doing great Kyle.
Have loved following your journey mate. A nice polished video by an actual camera guy and some good production editing. Would really help your channels numbers I’d say. To get your name out there more. You really deserve it.
Kyle, your game is looking excellent. Have you considered trying a draw - chipping style? I wonder if it would be easier for certain shots. Cheers for the great video.
Noticed that on short game shots, you step in after practice shots, whereas on full shots, you take the time to align the clubface first, and then build stance around it, before immediately firing Might build more consistency in short game by following your similar routine on shorter shots - something Im working on myself! Great vid, Kyle!
Good stuff man. My usual go-to for golf is "Tubes and Ange - Golf Life" but your content really fills in the gaps. Would love to see more videos like this. If you got a microphone instead over narrating over the video that would definitely be more engaging. Keep it up.
i enjoy 18 hole videos because its more relaxing and gives an overall better viewing experience. i know that you as a content creator it makes it more busy work to give us 18 versus splitting everything you do in half. i dont think it's really a 9v18 hole question, more about the frequency of posting 18 holes we'd like. there's gotta be give and take between audience vs creator. that's what makes it enjoyable for both ends. keep up the good work man.
you're putting has improved immensely. The drives are great as usual just need to hit more greens in regulation. Good score for only one par five Birdy.
Hazeltine is a special place. 8 is most accessible with a cut off the bunkers, but a headwind brings lake into play. You’re right, if the wind is howling, this hole is tough.
You played well for talking bout swing thoughts on course. Usually if people start talking about being in the slot while playing, they are going to shoot above 100. Well done.
Berkshire you gotta get in on these creator events. Grow your brand. I’ll bet the PGA starts offering spots for creators in smaller tour events. “Special exemptions” Fast track. Get on it.
Welcome to MN golf. Come to Highland Nash next time, best men's club in town. Keller is great muni too. Don't think you shouldn't play munis; it'll bring you more fans (man of the people). And welcome to the claw, did the same-- wonders for me as well!
The claw grip makes sense. I putt okay but may give it a go. Also ever thought of opening stance with the full swings with the wedges? I feel like it takes out swing variables and raises consistency.
Hey Kyle, I'm a new subscriber and I certainly like the 18 hole format much more. Also, are you going to release a video on your back nine at TPC Scottsdale?
What's up man, i subscbd and liked the vid. It would be nice to actually see u play, say after the tournament is over, against a couple of top amateurs in the country that played on the tourney and I mean 1vs1 etc type of format. To see how u stack up against them. God bless dude!
One thing that would make you video content better would be drone flyovers for us to preview the hole before you hit the tee shot. Most serious vlog channels do this, almost a requirement at this point. Nice round 👍
Why the PGA Tour? Would it not make more sense to go to Liv? If I was in your position I'd get in touch with Bryson and see if he can fast track you onto Liv. The CEO is at least open to innovation. Having the World Long Drive Champion on Liv would have to be a win.
Yeah, those rough chips were eating your lunch but mostly great playing apart from that. It looked like fatigue or just trying to get the score to the house got you somewhat on the last several holes. Overall the game is looking really impressive with lots of potential for great scoring. Cheers.
18 holes with interesting commentary works great! If in fact you do make it onto the PGA tour, which will take a lot of work, we won't be watching you anymore on RU-vid like this, only highlight clips. That's got to be an absolute huge grind to compete at that level All the time. Good luck!!
I have played 55 years in Minnesota. And never on a course that was well wayerd and fertilized. And despite that. Yes, our grass is thick. Come to Minnesota in the fall and enjoy the colors. Even more beautiful then our golf coarse is our Boundary Water Canoe Area. BWCA Take a 5 day canoe trip and listen to the loons and star gaze during the light polution free skies in Norther Minnesota
18 hole videos, these videos are great. Would still like to know why you were not in World Long Drive Final. It was like a Super Bowl or NBA final where Tom Brady or Michael Jordan is not playing.
18 holes If you can also post your ball speed and speed on each shot, that would be awesome. Your distances are unimaginable. If you can make it to PGA tour it would be just amazing to watch.
Hey Kyle you look like Tommy Fleetwood from behind, only the bigger and longer version, man can’t wait to see you on tour, if I was LIV I would grab you 😅
You should try and collaborate with Scott Fawcett to improve your course management and practice routine. Sure he would be interested as he's a huge distance proponent.
Blasphemy to mention it ... but id love to see you play live golf ... (That would also mean that you come to Adelaide Australia and i would get a chance to watch you play live !!! )
Did you try and re-create Tiger Woods’s three iron shot from the left side of the left bunker on hole # 9, but it was playing the 18th hole at the 2002 PGA championship. Tiger said that was his best shot ever partially because he’d never hit a shot that felt so good. My guess is it felt like nothing because it was just dead sweet spot. Somewhere on RU-vid you can find him talking about that shot being his best.
@kyleberkshire3371 Love the content! 18 holes is amazing. The way you break down thought and how you're hitting it is an incredible insight into a great players mind. Thank you! Random question. When you want to hit it "longer" on the course do you have a swing thought? Turn the shoulders more or focus on hitting it solid, etc? I always struggle when I want to hit it harder with making solid contact or if I do focus on hitting it solid, the ball not going any further. Any advice would be appreciated
Just imagine how much better you would play with a veteran caddie, who not only knows the courses, but would keep you calm and focused as well. Great job at Hazeltine, that place is a monster.
