That is what happens when you learn directly from others and not on books! It's awesome to witness, because he's not translating inside his head from Korean to English, he's trying to form English sentences directly out loud.
This is very true, sometimes I teach English to Spanish speakers and they don't really want to talk because they're not very fluent yet, so one day I showed them some clips of Hyunjin because I thought he was a great example about trying to express your ideas with the knowledge you have, that's how all learners start after all. I think it did help because my students were not so self-conscious anymore, although now they keep asking to see more videos of that cute guy😂
@@julissa7294 yeah my spanish teacher always tells us to just "work around" what we want to say with words we know and that has been one of the most helpful things when it comes to learning a language. Try to speak it as much as possible, and its okay to be wrong
When Hyunjin is talking about something serious, or sad, you can see how much he really cares. He try's his very best to say everything correctly, and it shows. He has wonderful pronunciation, and it makes me so happy to see that when he makes minor mistakes, he tries to correct them to his best ability. He does just that.
what i’ve noticed is that he chooses his words very carefully to express himself! it really shows how thoughtful he is and how much he really cares that he puts so much effort into speaking in english for us!
it was so so touching when he read stays messages and he’d try his best to pronounce everything correctly, you can really tell he cares sm and has so much respect for all of his fans and it’s so sweet
In a year or two he’ll be fluent . His pronunciation was always on point and his grammar is actually good , he just needs to be confident that’s all. So proud of him ... he went from “your behavior is so ughhh” to giving freaking counseling sessions in english . So proud of him.

I read someone else's comment that said that his pronunciation is really good but he just needs time to explain himself which I totally agree with. His vocabulary may be limited but his pronunciation is pretty on point and honestly, I personally feel like proper pronunciation is what will make you sound more fluent vs someone who knows more words but has a heavier accent.
Hyunjin is one of the people that inspire me. He doesn’t give up, he always wants to learn. He learnt English, when he really didn’t have to, but he got better and better, he draws , he has so many aspirations and I hope he gets to explore them all. Hardest language? Come on. Try the ancient Roman languages like Italia, French, Spanish, Portuguese or German. Then come back and let's debate. English is so much simpler. This is why it replaced French as the international diplomatic language
@@cvcv6615 we’re not talking about dead languages. English may not be the hardest but it definitely is an extremely difficult one that many people have trouble learning. All languages are difficult in their own way and everyone has their own journey with learning a new language
No one is really talking about this but the way he described dealing with insomnia was very relatable. Even when he was at a loss of words and had a difficult time expressing his thoughts, I felt like I could still understand what he was trying to express. You can see that he’s improved a lot. I love hyunjin but it’s moments like these that make me fall in love with him (and the rest of the members) all over again
The more I see Hyunjin and the way he interacts with Stay the more I really like him. I am a very new fan and at first to me he seemed kind of standoffish and cold but the way he responded to they Stay with the sick father was so heartwarming. He seemed to genuinely care and looked upset.💕💕
Stage presence can be really misleading. Equally, kai from exo and taeyong from nct get a lot of hate because they seem cold and arrogant on stage but that's nothing like how they are irl - they're very kind, caring and friendly.

I love how he’s dedicated to communicating with fans and taking his time to learn English! He’s better than me at it and I’m English- but the members are all so supportive towards him and help him if he’s ever stuck, they’re all the best!!
He knows he can't be with us here physically except for when on stage, or doing lives or through music...And yet he's apologizing for not being beside us who need comfort and security when we need it! i admire hyunjin for really trying his best to learn English to be able to communicate properly to us stays and its getting better and better but same with him I too is learning it even if its complicated lol.
When he was reading STAY'S story I feel like he was feeling a little bit sad and frustrated cuz he wanna say a lot of comforting things but he doesn't know how to say all those things in English but I am happy he still tried to comfort STAY who was having problems and was going through hard times. Hyunjin trying so hard to cheer stays up even though he’s not fluent always makes me cry. He’s trying his best and it might not be perfect but I’ll always be patient because I love how persistent he is in learning ❤️
as much more of a new stay, this literally melts my heart. everything including the fact how much he loves his fans, it just goes to show how kind hearted his is. even when he may be struggling to answer the question is english, he still gives his best into it, and gives a solid answer. he is rapidly expanding his vocabulary and improving so much! ahh truly love him and am very proud of him and his hard work.

him responding to the fan with hearing loss felt really personal. i'm hard of hearing due to my genetic disorder and i have about 60% hearing in my left ear and 10% hearing in my right and it's only going to progress as i get older. just the part where he said he knows it's scary and he wishes he could be there with that person......even though it's not about me it really hit me deep, and in that moment i felt like he was talking to me. he's been my bias since hellevator and it almost makes me want to cry to see him acknowledge a disabled fan and comfort them despite not knowing what it's like to be disabled. it's the bare minimum, but i've ever seen an idol do this and be respectful about it. my love for him just skyrocketed.
If Chan and Felix can help Hyunjin speak English that well, they should get paid to teach other kpop groups to speak English as a side gig!! Hyunjin's English is amazing!!
I love this! His English and understanding of phrases and even some slang is awesome. Ive been trying to learn Korean for a while and i could not talk in full sentences or speak as clesrly in korean as he can in english. So impressive. Great job Hyunjin!!! ❤
