Sop is never drive more than 5 or 10 over the speed limit. Once on fire ground you don't run. And there is stuff to do as you get on site before you can put water on it.

Water doesn't magically appear, it takes a few minutes to put the truck in pump also to pull a handline stretch it out. You just don't snap your fingers and it magically happen. Go and have a ride along day with your local fire department. See how things really work.

By the time the FD showed up no one was driving in the station. All that traffic was on the road out front of the station. No need to close the road unless the FD needed it closed. They had all the room they needed. Hard to tell but that is a big parking lot. And ignore the grammar cop on here.
Why is their no fire extinguisher handy or easily accessible for the driver just baffles me cause a small preventive measure of insurance with a fire extinguisher issued with every truck is so critically important it would surely limit the amount of damage to your vehicle and property
@@jimmccabe801 Actually, here in most of Europe, the commander of the first engine on scene makes a "SitRep" situation report, if it appears to be a threatening situation for the direct environment, then yes, they will first ensure a safe working environment for themselves, next for all the civilians in the surrounding and only then start fighting the fire. But in this case, from what I could see, there was still low risk for the fuelstation to catch fire. Also, I notice that often in the USA there are litterally minutes between the arrival of the fire-engine and the moment they start blowing water on the flames. Here in most of Europe water is on the fire within seconds in such scenario.

I find it hard to believe that once firefighters arrive they just casually get out of truck slowly put helmet on and 2 mins later they finally start to put water on to fire this is in a gasstation one would think they would want it out asap saying that good job once they actually start and were were the police no traffic control
You didn't see them spray from the front of the truck first.....the water coming out is a clue they are wetting the ground and separating the fire bellow first.

@@toddsorvino4575 actually that is partly false because the emergency shut off for fuel pumps has to be manually switched by an employee working at the fuel station.
