In December of 2017 I set out on my first long ride. I had not known where I wanted to go. Just the dream of riding the coast of India. A one month, 6000 km ride grew into a 4 month 18000 km expedition across twenty states of the peninsula. It spanned across the length and breadth of the country. From Kanyakumari in the South to Manali in the North and Gujarat in the West to West Bengal in the East.
Along the way, in the very last days of the ride, I had an accident on the MMRT race track in Chennai which broke my collar bone into three distinct pieces. The incident, the overcoming of it and getting back on the bike to complete the ride has been most uplifting and empowering.
This video is a talk I gave in November 2018 sharing my experiences of the ride. It was hosted by The Nomad Motorcycle Travelers group in the city of Shivamogga in Karnataka.
