One of the best statements ever, we all love it and can let it consume us at times. It cost me a relationship or three. And has caused serious issues with my finance, enough to where I had to take a year off in 19.

I just wanted to swing back in here and say that this video inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and try something g new. I decided to go on a solo trip to kansas. I picked a spot on onX and got a stand in a tree. I also ended up killing the biggest buck of my life on my first sit! Thanks for the inspiration dude!

When they run hard and use up oxygen quickly they die in seconds, but if they just trot off and stand like that it can take up to a minute for them to die due to lack of oxygen even with a double lung shot.

@@BowhuntingRoad I think with archery if you shoot a really sharp cut on contact this is more typical because the deer doesn't really know what happened. Not spooking it at the shot keeps them well within site like this.

I have been hunting for a long time and that is the most beautiful buck I have ever laid eyes on. Tine length, spread, mass, the character in the kickers, etc. It has everything. He was dead on his feet as soon as you released that arrow and still made it that far...a true warrior that died majestically. Congratulations Chris!

I come back to watch this hunt every time it's recommended to me. Such an amazing hunt in all aspects. I have always seen big buck movement after strong winds die down like that. That day had all the ingredients for seeing big bucks, It was the first sit, the rut was in full swing, and the strong winds died down. Everything was in your favor on that day, awesome awesome hunt!

Phenomenal Hunt Congrats! IMO the best part of this video is 15:44 - 16:50. The majority of people do not understand that hunting is not just a hobby, its something embedded deep inside ones soul that it can cause that person to forget about what is important. I’m 71, been hunting since I was 13. Sometimes good things happen to good people. I shot to nice nine pointers this past season and one doe after being down with a torn guad muscle for almost a year. Never give up your passions. Looking forward to a great turkey season. Great buck

Let's all just take a moment to appreciate how tuff the whitetail deer is. You made a great shot and the deer still was able to run 50-100yards and still be on its feet for another 30-40 seconds after that.

Inches mean nothing, does nothing more then diminish the animal and often times makes most hunters goals unrealistic. Unless ofcourse we are talking about a net typical 200" whitetail.

Awesome deer, congrats! My first hunt on public in Illinois went down the same way. First spot I picked after driving 13 hours, 6 hours on stand, slocked my biggest buck a 186”. Unfortunately when I got back to my truck someone slashed all 4 valve stems on my truck tires 🤦‍♂️
