You should look into making caliber conversion chamber inserts for the Italian Vetterli, and the Dutch Beaumont. I have both rifles, but I have no way to shoot them because of the old black powder ammo. I purchased one of your Gras inserts and works awesome and has brought my old rifle back to life.
That's such a good niche item! Here in Europe we have many Gras converted to 16 gauge hunting shotguns by St Étienne in the early 20th century, but the 11mm guns are still around, and they are fun to shoot, so this sleeve would be a fantastic addition.
A lot of Gras rifles have worn bores that accommodate .451-.453 diameter lead bullets. I would think that an insert for low pressure 45 Colt would be potentially useful in these. The 45 colt converters work pretty well in the Martini Henry, but they don't engage the rifling as they run all the way up to .468 in the MKIVs. The gras rifling would potentially be a much better fit.
@@jaybee6703 I have not. I have one of the .410 adapters, but haven't tried it yet either. I have a gras carbine, but its filthy and needs stripped down and cleaned. I intend to do so sometime this summer. It has a decent bore and I slugged it with a lead ball. It came out at .451 so 45 colt projectiles should engage the rifling.
