The part with the dent in it. I wonder if you could take a small plastic bad fill it with water tie it off where the bag is only the area of the dent and put it in the freezer let the water expand as it freezes and push the dent out. Similar process for removing dents from motorcycle gas tanks.
Thats a great idea. Decades ago we used to push them out from the inside and solder up any imperfections. The ice trick seems easier for sure. Off camera i took it apart off camera. The font actually pulls in two very easily. Then you could push the dent with a piece of wood dowel. Cheers
Ser I just picked a lanturn like the one you have in the back on the left hand side I no nothing about this lanturn but when I saw it I had to have it it seem to me to be missing some parts I don't no the names an was hoping you could help I nomully caller Colman stoves an lanturns but sortove fell in love with. The older karo lamps I owne a few old wik lanturns that were handed doubt famly that are long gone I still use camping but this one sort of founed a place in my shop and I would love to see her run it has a beutiful glass shade I guess that's what there call sorry for writing a hole book on this but I just founed your video an thout you mite have some answers thanks an hope to hear from
Hello, I am a U.S Veteran, and always wanted One of these Aladdin Lamps. I am Looking at a Model 11, Looks like its missing the Generator / Flame Spreader. Could I just use one of the new Flame Spreaders for the model 12 / max Bright that they sell on Lehmans? Also, Is there anything else I might need to actually Use one for the model 11. I don't wanna Buy something I cant use. Thanks you, Your videos have helped me Understand how these work a lot.
