Words cannot express how happy I am that badass Bren is back. I don't want Joel to be a pawn in his game with Foxy but the idea of him seducing him to get his revenge is rather delicious. Joel isn't exactly his physical type as he seems to go for smaller, prettier guys and Joel has been established as straight thus far but if anyone can convert an impressionable young man, it's BB himself. I cackled like a witch when he was taunting Foxy. The scorpion and the frog, lol. Ugh, I love this man! On the flip side, it's heart-breaking to see how wrecked Brendan is. I wish they'd shown more of what had happened to him in prison and I hope they do show what he's been up to in his absence. I'm glad he's back with Cheryl. They really need each other. Emmett so perfectly portrays all sides of Brendan's personality, he's really a gift to the show.
Epic Broxy showdown is epic. Is it my imagination or is the new "out" (of the closet and jail) Brendan even more awesome than the old one? It's like now he has free reign to be as sarcastic, weird, and pervy as possible. I love it! Emmett deserves all the awards for this clip alone, he made me laugh, turned me on, and moved me to tears all in the same episode.
America have had their moments with really good shows and Australia. British soaps used to be amazing for us to watch but that was only because of the old days and they had hollyoaks later episodes with more fighting and swearing! But they're rubbish now 😂😂
Yay! Brendan is back, finally! I missed him so much! Anyways, he better not fall in love, or even like, Joel because I have been waiting for more Ste and Brendan for a really long time. I can't wait to see his revenge plot with Warren and how he gets Ste back and how Ste reacts when he sees Brendan again. I am so excited!
That last scene broke my heart. Oh Brendan... now he's got even more issues than before. Loved the Joel tongue thing btw :) I'm seriously thinking that he's going to sleep with him to piss Warren off... although Joel doesn't seem very yielding, does he? ;) Can't wait to see what the authors have in mind.
Wow, Foxy needs to watch out. BB is back and the village is going to know it. Can't wait to see what everybody is going to do when they see that BB. Watch out Ste, Once BB is done with Foxy is going to want to get you back on his side. Can't wait this month is going to be epic on Hollyoaks.
Bren is Hamlet - in the 'to be or not to be' sense. IS he as effed up as he seems to be? I think the vulnerability he shows Cheryl has the potential to be real, but that quiet, calm psychosis he's showing Foxy is an act. As for Bren and Ste...well. I'd like to see them work through their issues and end up either as mates or as a couple. Either way is fine with me. But Keiron's and Emmett's chemistry will probably lead to more sexy times before their issues are resolved. Alas.
@QueenShebaVIII Yeah, but like you said before, this IS a soap ;) Abuse and murder and prison just comes with the medium, doesn't mean they are going to be broken up because it should seem like the better thing to do. Stendan is one of the show's major and most popular couples. It's just more than likely they'll get to really be together befoe Emmett makes his exit at whatever point. Oh, and Brendan actually has said that he's never cared about anyone as much as Ste, so...
oh wow, that ending scene. I think Brendan really wants to do the right thing but Brendan trying to do right doesn't mean he takes the right route to go by it. I am loving Ethan being warrens call dog lol. also Brendan has a point, about that story which I think its true about warren but not so sure Brendan is the frog.
@anyusa0030 It's not about what either of them deserves. What I DO recall is Brendan brutally abusing Stephen and refusing to take responsibility for it for the longest time; so when Noah just so happened to come along (I loathe him to this day), offering love, who can think it was wrong for Ste to want to try/hope he could be happy, even when he still had feelings for Bren? The triangle was a means to make Bren jealous/admit he was in love anyway. A fling for Bren now is pointless.
@QueenShebaVIII Its unbelievable to think that connection will just die when the length of time they've stayed drawn and in love is as long as it is. Who actually wants the soap to be that inconsistent if it doesn't have to be? A fresh start doesnt guarantee anything; and theres far greater pay-off, meaning, and satisfaction in Brendan winning Ste again against the hardest ever odds, and in Bren being able to forgive himself a lot by making it up to Ste/make things work with him.
@Iclabon72 I don't disagree that Brendan's progress is partly because of his feelings for Ste (though I won't believe Ste is the only man he's loved until he says so himself) and that their feelings for each other have been very real, I just don't think that means they have to stay together forever. People who love each other to separate (and Stendan have never even been a proper couple) so it's quite believable, especially when there are enough things (abuse, murder, prison) to cause it.

@QueenShebaVIII HO isn't going to break them up. The writers can do what they want, even if it does have skewed realism or is to any degree irresponsible. Doesn't matter if it's the first DV sl between 2 men. If you want responsible, you'd be even more bored having to watch Brendan be in jail for years for multiple assault counts on several ppl, not to mention Danny's murder. Fact is, if they weren't going to be together, they wouldn't still be in love now that Bren is improving.
@Iclabon72 The fact it's a soap is what means they're less likely to be together. Starting a domestic abuse storyline, the only domestic abuse storyline the soap has had between two men, and then having them forget the abuse to be madly in love and in a committed relationship would only come off as irresponsible. They're going to drag it out as much as possible for Stendan fans but they won't be together and dragged out SLs bore me. Doesn't prove much, not enough space left to say why.
@Iclabon72 Some people (like me) want Ste/Brendan to come to an end and for Brendan to have a normal (for a soap opera) love life now he's more accepting of his own sexual orientation. It's not pointless because this is Brendan's own SL, nothing to do with Ste, and it's to anger Warren. What is the point of Stendan now? Dragging out the will they, won't they and domestic abuse further will be boring and they should resolve it so both characters can move on with their SLs.
@QueenShebaVIII I respect other views, but Bren has made as much progress as he has bcuz of Ste and their feelings 4 each other have pushed him there. Bren hasn't ever loved another man besides Ste, and can't just do so with someone else. So should he give up wanting Ste now that he might have more belief in himself that he could treat him better? A lot of ppl r still invested in their chemistry/history, and don't think it boring when things can still change, esp now.
Diggin' the beard; it makes him look... almost fragile and in need of some serious cuddling. I know that's weird, but Brendan w/ the beard seems more vulnerable to me than w/out. And how in the hell is Emmett pulling off that oh so haunted look? It hurts me to look at his eyes. My goodness! *shallow* The cap sleeve on the black tee? SOOO SEXY! BUT! And using the argument "No, this WILL happen - I have no proof to say it will but I say it will so therefore it will happen" is... well, I'm sorry to tell you but that's neither reasonable nor mature. I haven't stated Stendan won't be together as a fact, I have said I don't think they will, because I don't know. That is reasonable.
@anyusa0030 Look, we could go back and forth forever on this. We're clearly on opposite sides, and will interpret things as such. But it does seem like ur going out of your way to deny things that are pretty clear. Brendan has very obviously implied he cares about Ste more than he ever has anyone else. And later tells Ste he loves him, with it being hard enough for him to let himself say, like he's never felt this way before. Y argue about it?
