I’ve been waiting and attempting to get around folks that do some re-enacting that era and you know what? I don’t have all the clothing and stuffies yet but I’m going to do the same. It’ll just be me but the older one gets the less it matters. 🙏🏻👍
If it makes you feel better, I got into this hobby recently despite the shutdown and getting diagnosed with cancer. I'm really enjoying this. I've always been kind of a history nerd though
I was shown how old timers would fill the pan with powder then hold the fire-starting fluff next to the pan and pull the trigger. The heat of the igniting powder catches the fluff on fire. I have used a blank charge and a little dried grass in my Dragoon pistol and this worked very well.
Although, fellowship with others that enjoy our hobby is greatly missed. We can still keep the spirit of reenactment alive, by working on our kit, continuing to do research and getting a little mud on our moccasins. So , here’s to hope for a better new year, CHEERS !
i dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know of a method to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
@Immanuel Forest thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
History cannot be canceled history exists and to understand history is to know ourselves into better ourselves from the mistakes of the past and improve upon the successes of the past. @@HoffmanReproductions You are very welcome Ben, you deserve the compliments. Thanks for the reply! Looking forward to seeing what types of shoes/boots you own from the 18th century styles and which types you think should be worn with the clothing. Thanks and hope you have a great day!
Just subscribed to your channel. I like your videos. Can you tell us about your rifle? Is that an early Virginia style? Caliber and barrel length? Thanks!
At about 6:28 you said you were wearing Ft. Ligonier patter Moccasins. Man, you have GOT to make a video to show how to make those! I have been dying to make a pair, but I just can't find a decent "how-to." PLEASE make a video to show us how it's done!!!!!
