They all have similar questions. EAL, Logic, C&G all have to follow the guidance from the controlling bodies that set the exam criteria. They are all closely monitored to make sure that the exams are equally as difficult whoever you go with. Just practice and practice and I'm sure you will be ok. A little every day is more beneficial than trying to cram things two nights before the exam. Good luck. Dave.

Lots of mature folk take up electrics and its a good trade. There are, inevitably, several hoops to jump through to become registered as a sparky with one of the trade bodies, Napit, NICEIC etc. It's not just the classroom training, its all the other practical stuff that comes in the following year. I would suggest that you visit in person at least 3 different training centres and go armed with a list of questions. Especially, ask them to explain everything that you need to be able to register as an electrician and to be able to sign off your own work. If they say, just do this, this and this course and give us 3 grand and that's all you need, then they have missed out all the info you need about portfolios of work to show what you have done. They have not told you about needing to get a year or more of monitored work, doing the job on site under supervision and all recorded. Napit and NICEIC will want evidence oif your practical skills as well as the academic side. Ask, ask and ask again before you part with any money. Don't be blind-sided by talk of special offers if you sign up now. If they are a good trainer, they will spend time with you before you make any decisions and they will wait for you to come back to them. Don't be put off by what I have written, there are some very good trainers out there. Good luck. Dave.
