The "MODE" button is part of the VFD (Variable Frequency Drive). VFDs are used for a variety of functions including motor speed control which is what it is used for on the 19-38 Combination Brush/Drum Sander machine. Many functions and settings of the VFD are locked out internally as they are set from the factory. Pressing the MODE button on the control panel of the VFD will change the digital screen display between Speed/RPM, Amperage, Forward, Frequency, and actual output frequency. You can read more about the 19-38 Combination Brush/Drum Sander on our website at lagunatools.com/classic/sanders/19-38-combo/ and regarding the VFD at lagunatools.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/1938-VFD-instructions-030624-1.pdf. The SuperMax 19-38 Sander was aligned and adjusted at the factory. However, simple alignment checks will ensure. that everything is in perfect order. The drum to table alignment is covered in the owner's manual on pages 11 and 12 should you need to adjust your machine. lagunatools.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/19-38-Manual-ENG-120622.pdf Thank you.
