All talented ladies for sure, and many have their favorite, but 1:03 notice how everyone in the room quickly quiets down and defers to Andrea McArdle as soon as she starts answering the question. There's a reverence for Andrea in the "Annie world" (the general Broadway world, too), given she was the original Annie on Broadway and a major part of why the show was such a huge success right out of the gate. That voice with the stunning belt gracing the 1977 Original Broadway Cast Album (and a lot of TV appearances) was many people's first experience with Annie, including some of these girls who would go on to play the role. Sarah Jessica Parker touches on that during the segment. Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical, at age 13.

To everyone looking for the lastest "black annie". I dont think that really counts as an annie productions. The songs, the story line, everything is different.

I came hoping to see Aileen Quinn not SJP 😒 while it was amazing to see the others and see just how many there have been, the 1999 Disney version girl was there so I was wondering how they could miss the actress from beloved original film version... anyone know why she couldn't make it?

Alieen Quinn was in the Broadway version from 1979 first then she ended up auditioning for the film while doing the Broadway show.
