This is like so weird to see. I my country you have to take driving lessons. You can start with them at age 18 (well there is a test going on to start at 16). These lessons cost around €40 each and you need to take round 30 lessons (it depends on how good you are), and you have do two exams. One with al the rules and one pratical exam. And for both of them is really hard to pass. Less then 50% of the people makes it the first time. And in Arkansas it's like: "your 14, your parent will teach you how to drive."

Why on earth is Joy learning to drive in a massive truck? That makes no sense! Even if she did drive in RTVs before...

Jackson and Johanna are the best

Michelle and Jim Bob would never force their children to grow up, they even say that they are amazed of the fact how fast they grow up. In the recent episodes Joy is like 15 or 16, at that ages it isn't weird that she wants to try more 'grown up things'. She wants to be like her sisters who she really looks up to. She is still the same Joy who loves playing outside with her brothers. She didn't change she just tries new things wich is a part of growing up.

Where I live in the UK we have to wait until we are 17 before we can start driving! Not fair!!

Actually, in Christianity EVERYONE is supposed to have a servant's heart. Jesus Himself came as a suffering servant, to be an example... So that is just a basic principle in Christianity. Don't try to make this into something negative, instead learn about what Christianity is actually all about.

i've only just heard about this show, so here's my take - the Duggars are 'QuiverFulls' - they are conservative Christians who believe that the feminist movement brought about many social ills, so they are anti-feminist. Michelle even says in this clip 'I've watched her blossom from being this little tomboy who likes to play with the boys and rough-house, to trying to be this young woman who has a servant's heart'. I think what's being implied is that a woman should be feminine and domestic.

In Queensland, Australia u have 2 log 100 hours on ur all L plates (and hold it for 12 months) b4 u can go for ur Provisional no. 1 (and then p2) and hold both for 1 year b4 u can get ur opens. So if the Duggars lived in QLD that would b 900 hours that Jim Bob has logged and not 150.

Even though she has so many kids, I still feel sorry for Michelle. After Josie, she's thinking healthier and taking vitamins, but she loses the kid. I'm sure though, she'll soon have another one!

well i think the more hours the young people learn to drive these days the more they can become more confident in themselves in the car an what areas they need to improve on etc

I agree but in the recent episodes I see that she became more feminine and that makes me sad because it looks like it was somehow forced.

They don't call it a bad thing, they are just talking about the fact that Joy is in the middle of her proces of turning from a girl into a young woman. Her parents don't force her to be girly, she just wants to do more 'girl' things, but that doesn't mean she stopted playing with her brothers. She's still the same Joy.

So does the mom have a thing where she keeps getting pregnant without the deed or...
