I had all 3 parts of the Mourning Frost, but had no idea what they were for until I right-clicked on one... What a lovely surprise! I was already into the create water and follow up with ice and lightning strat with my circle of land druid, so it's ideal. It's also versatile, so I can use it with a shield in my off-hand. Something I never seen mentioned are the Masterwork weapons. I made the Sussur greatsword for Karlach. The dmg is meh, but the on-hit silence is a fight winner against many bosses. They can't just move out of it because it's actually applied to them. Just awesome.
On a note of the club of hill giant strength you can cast shillelagh and make it a 1d8 weapon and use your spellcasting modifier so its nice to have on a cleric or druid that can have access to this you still have a good 1 handed weapon you still focus on Wisdom and still have a nice strength score for your carrying capacity strength saves and abilities
Another honorable mention is the blade wielded by the commander (forgot her name I think she is a black lady) trying to open the burn mining building in walkeens rest. She has a Greatsword with a great magical property if you managed to miss both the everburn blade and the legendary silver sword.
@@iamcrystalwater2221 face first 😐 my brother in christ you walking face first into the point and you still missed it... the +5 is clickbaity as hell and will make newbies think they can actually get a +5 scimitar which isnt true, ofc without that small detail its a legit weapon, thats what clickbaiting is... its lying to make something seem more interesting than it is and its a low effort tactic to marginally increase clicks but not get consistent viewership
Act 1; Vision of the Absolute is a spear. you get part of it from the owlbear mother, part of it from the guy outside the cave that was critically wounded fighting it. Combine them for the spear and it has a chance to blind any target that you hit with it AND does an extra 2d6 damage for anything with extra eyes. Despite the name, it does not require the Mark of the absolute for the extra oomph like a lot of similarly titled items. it is also dip-able.
Svartlebee's Woundseeker at Wakeen's Rest. Command Drop, or kill, Guantlet Yeva for her sword, and make sure to obscure the area the sword lands so you can pick it up without people freaking out on you.
Yes, casting Fog Cloud covers it and causes guys to move away from the door so you can barge in with a hammer and free Florrick. Make sure to rescue the guy on the left first though.
Hamarhraft is kinda dumb if you use it on a monk with high strength and movement, and use the Ki action to dash because then jump doesn't require a bonus action for the rest of your remaining movement. So you can goomba stomp everyone around you... might take a while though.
I'm watching this at April 1st so, when you suggested 'salami', right after the training sword, I had to reassure I was not watching an April fools video...
What's weird is I think there's the Moon made in mace that also set your strength but it's to 18 instead of 19 which is functionally the same. However I don't remember wearing the game you get it off hand but it is nice knowing the characters that you dump strength on because they don't need it you can give them that for at least carrying capacity, jumping, & even for situations where you would use Tavern brawler but couldn't invest in strength as much as you would like I'm pretty sure...
I think the thing missed about the hill giant club is how it can be used by classes that usually have low STR. The monk can just hold it and still use unarmed attacks and tavern brawler, for example, or a throwing build that uses Warlock to add returning to a weapon can hold this in their off hand and dump STR to 8. This is an excellent offhand weapon for builds that want to focus a different stat, but still benefit from STR.
I am fond of Abdirak's Sacrifical Dagger on dual wielding Thief/Astarion it's on the table next to him. Standard damage but on hit gives 1d4 attack and saving throw untill end of round.
Worth noting for the Duke Ravenguard's Longsword, it's effectively a +2 Weapon for Pact of the Blade Warlocks due to the +1 enchantment and +2 to Charisma which will increase your attack/damage modifiers of your pact weapon by +1.
A really slept on melee weapon is any of the weapons with the tenacity ability, even if you miss an attack they still deal your full strength modifier in damage to the enemy, you can make act 1 AND 2 look like a total joke with them just by running giant elixirs on your party which you can get infinite of from Ethel as long as you do it before you piss her off (steal/buy them, partial long rest, repeat) this is bc most fights in acts 1-2 are actually balanced around you mising over half your attacks which is a LOT of missing damage that these make up a good up a good chunk of, and you can run them on any build you want just by taking level 1 fighter before multiclassing into your real build, a party of maul weilding bleed barbs can decimate 80% of the game in green tier magic items lol (nothing i say applies to honormode bc i havent played it at all yet, im still on a durge tactician save rn)
it's also not true that its the only way to get bludgeoning damage for sneak attack. in BG3 you can use maces or quarterstaves perfectly fine with sneak attack.
@@JondarKorricFrom the wiki: Finesse is a weapon attribute that allows characters to use their Strength or Dexterity (whichever is higher) with the weapon, adding that Ability Modifier to Attack Rolls and Damage Rolls. @@whyareyoubothering there's entire videos on builds that get sneak attacks with non Finesse weapons, and I currently have Shadowheart with a few levels of Rogue, and it allows me to use sneak attack with Blood of Lathander which is decidedly NOT a Finesse weapon.
Just a heads up. Secret Weapon 8 is lacking the finesse tag so it uses str instead of dex. On a conventional rogue you'd gain 1d4 but lose your dex mod or worse gain a -1 from your bad strength score.
Some of these are definitely secret, I'm not sure if a sword that a guy you'll likely meet just sells/drops is necessarily THAT big of a secret, but nice video nonetheless! I think a good addition for a solid 20 would be Nyrulna, since you actually have to talk to a guy (the circus djinni), figure out what he's doing, then figure out how to outsmart him, then confront him and find the weapon😅I've watched 10+ streamers do the whole circus area, and only 2 actually found the weapon, so I'm guessing most casual players miss it as well. But then again most legendary weapons are pretty hard to find, so perhaps that should be a whole other video.
Larian recently released the "I've been attacked by a dinosaur" stats so some people must be finding it... it pairs very nicely with Karlach and the good Barb armour you can get from the perky gold dragonborn in Rivington, and when I get to House of Hope I will also put the 23 con thing on her and she will be nigh on unhittable killing machine
@@zoefarr2600lol this is my build for karlach. She has the gauntlets of hill giant strength and the amulet of greater health, using nyrulna. Also have the caustic band equipped for a little extra damage. It’s pretty busted. Raphael died in like 3 turns.
You have to pass a skill check to see the djinni is cheating. I was lucky enough to spot it on my first playthrough, so I know what to do. But you still need to survive Chult.
As long as your main hand weapon is finesse your fists can get sneak attack. While wielding weapons a monk is can use Martial Arts: Bonus Unarmed Strike, flurry of blows, unarmed stunning strike, and Ki Resonation: Punch (open hand only).
The trick for the mace and the scimitar also works for lorroakans Myrmidons. Each has a different strike, which you can do as an attack, that adds a d10 of their elemental damage to the weapon damage and also applies an effect to the enemy. Those are: Burn for Mr. Fire, Chilled for Mr. Water and Stunned for Mr. Air (The Earth one doesn't have a weapon). If you have these weapons in the off-hand (which you cant do for Mr. Water's) you can even do the strike with your main hand weapon, on each attack. That makes for the easiest chain stun in the game that I am aware of. The only problem is that the strike lacks an animation and, for me at least, is a bit laggy.
I found the Everburn in the Beta. BG3 went live and I had to argue with my party to kill the guy to get it, they said he can't be killed. Glad its common knowledge now.
deep delver is not just 1-4 extra damage, it produces phantom strike (rare and very important effect! the another weapon w same effect is 2h axe that adds 1-4 dmg when hit points are below 50%) that stacks with multiple "on hit" effects (lighting charges etc). Also, any attack that produces phantom strike (pally thunder smite for i.e. which do 2 attacks in one) will double proc deep delver and all procs will benefit from "on hit" effects. Also, pally smite that procs on crit hits (reaction) will also produce extra deep delver effect. Orc + dual-wielding + deep delver + staff of lightning charges + 2 levels of pally (to get all smites) = ez 200 dmg per round w/o crits (400+ if something crits). You literally need nothing except deep delver and 2 lvls of palladin to annihilate the game.
You don't even need to travel back to shore to get Jorgoral's greatsword. If you let him hop on your boat and you both go to Grymforge, he will end up being in the fight with Nere, and you can just kill him there if you would prefer that.
during conversation with Abdirak, you can Trade with him and he got the Mace in his trading inventory, the price is 900 golds, but you can glitching it
Only item I didn't know about was the training sword in the Druid's Grove. I'll definitely be picking those up just in case for the Grym fight, if I bring along Astarion.
I think I accidentally nullified the stool by having a sussar bloom animatic field go over it. Just for saving stress on future play throughs, don’t do that 😅
you missed another one in the underdark in act 1, i forgot what its called, but its a long sword with a class action of sing, which you can either buff your part, or debuff your enemies, its really neat, i used it for my bard, its in a stone and you gotta pass a few checks to pull the sword out
Brilliant content Spud, many thanks. 769 hours played (just checked!), Deva & Djinni were great finds; always ignored CorpseGrinder too. Take care & all the best foe the new year. Sub time!
You can buy loviatar's mace, but once you do send it to your camp. If not and you go to be whips and chains make me happy, he'll take the mace off you from your inventory.
You can also pickpocket it from him before the event but once he starts hitting you he has it equipped and you can't pickpocket it any more. I think if you knock him out or kill him he'll still drop it.
Bruh that Everburn sword is perfect for a sword wielding warlock. Strength goes to charisma and with a little pack of the blade you can wield it being deadly in Act 1 and 2 with close and long range.
When I opened the chest beneath the temple, I used an ascended Astarion. He did not summon those angels..but two Chambions instead…I didn’t notice if they had similar high damage dice trident weapons, but it might be worth investigating.
It depends on your alignment. Dark Urge and Shar Shadowheart will also trigger cambions. You just have to use another character to steal the items. As for damage, the tridents are just basic tridents, nothing special
Great video, some cool randoms I hadn't seen before. Really surprised you didn't have the Legendary Silver Sword of the Astral Plane that you can get very early on in Act 1 from Kith'rak Voss at the bridge. Command him to drop it or disarming strike, steal it and off you go. One of the best weapons in the game
You can actually pickpocket weapon 8, Booals blessing and then go through the chat dialogue and he'll give you the buff as his "blessing" instead of the weapon and you wont have to sacrifice someone for it. ;)
@@AnnieChouette So what I did was I crouched the entire group, make sure to bring the characters you want to have the buff. I buffed Astarion with "not bless but the other guidance or something like that?" I crouched and walked over to the far right with Tav and Astarion and climbed down via the fish net. Then I walk up to just before being in LoS to start the dialogue with Tav and Astarion. I use an invisibility potion with Astarion. I save scummed like a mother fucker right here. Then I jump into the group as close to the idle as I can with Tav so the group doesn't turn around. Once into the group, I hit the button on the left bottom corner of the screen to swap to another party member that isn't stuck in dialogue (Astarion).. I crouch up to the main fish guy and pickpocket the stupid sickle thing in the inventory. Then with some luck you'll get that, now the next part isn't necessary but what I did to prevent from being caught.. Once I've got the sickle, I immediately drank another invisibility potion. and high tailed it the fuck outa there on Astarion. Then go through the dialogue options with your Tav where they would normally give you the sickle. I'm sorry I don't remember them on hand, (I think you're forced to win at least one check on persuasion here).. Then when you've went that route and it doesn't have the sickle to give you, you will be given the buff by default to all current party members. Disclaimer: If you choose not to drink the second invisibility potion, they will run up to you at SOME POINT with the usual, you've been caught stealing/pickpocketing dialogue and you don't want to have to kill them.
@@Genuinely_Vague thats super nice, thx for that ^^ and actually ... i figured that almost exact same method out myself, right after i asked u XD just without the 2nd invispotion, i just straight ran out and climbed up the wall out of that area XD and i actually triggered the dialog BEFORE i gone stealing, was a bit tricky to not get caught but astarion is SUCH a good char for that ^^ well the fish has noticed that hes been robbed, ended the dialog and followed astarion, but well he was gone up the wall ^^ so i started the dialog again and got the buff for all my members without sacrificing SO COOL !! but thanks anyways for ur reply, i very much appreciate that, not only for me but for others, who r interested in how to steal it too
@@AnnieChouette To be honest, I think the scene being cancelled would mean if someone wanted to play without Ast they could steal it, leave for camp and come back with the other party member they wanted. I hadn’t even considered that.
There is a way to coat the flame sword in poison. Dont remember the name but will look up when i get home. Necklace or gloves that if equipped, when healed, coats the targets weapon in poison. It does both poison and fire damage BUT you LOOSE the flame visuals on the sword until you equip it on another character
Good video, thanks! Thought we were heading very downhill with the opening weapon 😂. Several here that I had no clue existed and the practice sword thing is genius! With it following soon after everburn I was like bahhhhh this guy is taking the piss....... Ohhhhh that's a great idea 😂!
Everburn is just a greatsword with permanent dip in fire Nice at the start of the game, or for RP, but early in act 1 there are better twohanded weapons such as Blooded Great axe
It actually doesn’t burn up. I went back late into act two. The treasure chest it’s in is totally destroyed. But if you use the keybind that displays items names, sure enough there it will be just laying there on the floor where the chest was in the top corner of that room
Ive been running a wizard with the dual weild feat. Rotating out staves after i use the spell. Morning Frost is awesome in the off hand to smack anybody that gets close using my bonus action. It has the best melee damage of wizard staves.
@@TheSpudKing you have to pick up the corpse and then click on your weapon slot, it will give you the option to select the deva mace from there and then once you have it you can drop the corpse.
I know monks using the step of the wind dash can jump a LOT of times. If each jump around an enemy can do a LOT of damage without ever actually making an attack roll!
Well the Ravengard sword is a little bit tricky to get if you want Wyll on your team or if you're playing a good guy/girl he use to have it equiped in the Iron Throne, but not anymore

You're so wrong about the Hamarhraft. It's one of the most if not the most OP weapon in game. Just as low level, combine it with lv2 monk dush, jump on cost 3m movement speed. and after lv5 casters can cast Fly or when you got fly potion/fly scroll, everything die within your turn, even your turn take 5mins to finish.
I fought the dijnni. Long rested went back. No pouches just empty piles of ash. Did this change in the last patch? Easy fight with Minthara dual weilding the Deva Maces and wearing the gloves of belligerent skies
Update: I originally did the fight in the room with the chest. I went back a couple save redid the fight upstairs and got the scimitar. Location may matter for some reason.
0:16 thats not "20 bonus dmg dealt". Thats "possible" 20 bonus dmg dealt. May as well be 2 bonus dmg dealt. Rolling 2 d10s doesnt mean you get both 10s
another cool one you missed Ive never seen mention is the fireball wand in the underdark right before the boat to grymforge. Found it on my 2nd play threw today on the dead deep gnomes body and its pretty neat. But I guess tech its not equip able so it wouldnt have made the list as a "weapon"
As a learning experience, you got me to click on the video and I left as soon as I saw you purposefully create labeled sections for the video, yet you labeled them “secret weapon X”. I will not watch a 28 minute video and scrub through to see what I have/don’t have. You will price yourself out of the RU-vid market when other people create shorts with the same amount of information that is not the least bit hidden.
