Time travel back to Westinghouse Electric factory in Pittsburgh 1904. A group of women restored to life and color w/sound in 4K 60fps. Though working class, these women are still emblematic of the 'Gibson Girl' aesthetic
The Gibson Girl, with her elegant shirtwaist blouses, sweeping long skirts and pompadour hair was the personification of the idealized new woman of the early 20th century. Film captured by the Biograph Company. The Gibson girl name was coined from the illustrations of Charles Dana Gibson.

The AI Film Restoration Process:
I take early fragments of silent 16fps footage and restore them to life by a combination of manual frame by frame colorization as well as the use of deep exemplar-based video colorization techniques. The footage is upscaled and the frames interpolated to a higher frame rate ( in most cases 60 frames per second.) Finally I produce a soundtrack which helps build a new immersive experience for the viewer.
Together, these processes revive old fragments of footage, offering audiences a more
vivid and engaging glimpse of lives long since lived in the distant past.

The uniformity of fashion in the eras is interesting. Some if it may be just materials available at the time = long hair = big bun bouffant. There is also the communal uniformity of the long skirts and same hair style for social acceptance. And then there is the enhancement by artifice. The making the hair larger than life rather than it being down and lank, it is teased and made more like a wig to look thicker and more maybe 'desirable' for mating or for looking more 'superhuman'. Fascinating. How these images are an 'object' but the reality was a moment in time - only bones, if that, may exist of these lovely ladies on this never ending object spinning that has embalmed time. Great restoration and history ; )

I think you're right. The large cylindrical components being wound with wire are typical of the stators or rotors used in such equipment.

Oh, this was beautiful color. Where they’re working though, kind of reminds me of us decent sweat shop. They’re literally all lined up. It’s crazy that that’s the working conditions back then.

I worked for GE many years ago and wound an armature exactly like these in the videos. I noticed the lamps along the aisles, I wonder if they were used to check for a ground in the circuit?

So you agree that men want women to do a man’s job by making money for the family and then do a woman’s job after an exhausting day at work, while men laze around after work? This is why the male loneliness epidemic keeps growing. Men want women to carry the weight of the world while at the same time saying women are leeches

Toxic materials + heavy machinery + general ignorance + disregard for employee health = Our Modern World. So much mixed emotions.
@Kirra-Oz

There were toxic things going on pertaining to the environment, even back then as well because they weren’t aware. It’s done by many countries now and they are all well aware.
@mychannel-rt2gn

Everything you mentioned existed back then but ten times worse. You people don’t read and then open your mouth and spew nonsense. People back then worked with the most harmful chemicals known to man daily, with no protective gear. Their machinery had little to no safety features and you didn’t need a license or certification to operate heavy machinery. Also they had basically no severance if they were mutilated by the machines. Let’s not forget how the 40 hour work week didn’t exist and people would literally be forced to work 100 hours a week. There’s a reason why communism was getting so popular at that time. Work was literally hell on earth, and something that a lot of modern people, especially in first world countries, can’t even begin to comprehend
