Very nice package...better late than never. I haven't listened to Madcap for a long time though I have been on a Floyd-kick of late. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on these records in due course. The title track of 'Opel' is truly extraordinary. Enjoy!

Hi Tommy, that is a great box set. The Madcap Laughs is the most accessible of the albums. Just checked my copy and it says Side 1 and 2. Must have been a printing error. Enjoy - Steve

Hey Tommy, you should do a follow uo on these to let us know your thoughts. They are very different albums from the early Floyd stuff and at times are very odd indeed. And yes, Opel came out in the 1980's and is a collection of outtakes and unreleased songs from both sessions. Enjoy & take care...

Listened to The Madcap Laughs last night. Pink Floyd Unplugged! It wasn't nearly as "ambitious" as that first PF album, but it was intriguing. Syd doesn't strike me as much as a "songwriter," which may explain why this work hasn't held up as well. Oh, yeah...and drugs. Still, his is a very interesting story. Thanks, Tim!
