Netlfix has gone from giving us a crappy selection of movies/shows to watch (they still do) to making some of the most interesting original movies/ shows to watch. And I've been with them all the way. I feel like a proud dad.
@jeandenis4353
@jeandenis4353 7 лет назад
Netflix doesn't produce anything they just get distribution rights of a film before anyone else can so they can say exclusively on Netflix, which makes them special in terms of marketing. But these rights can be pre determined prior to the production of a film, in which they help fund. Netflix is a distribution center not a film production house.
@MasterManto
@MasterManto 7 лет назад
If you want to get technical, fine, they don't produce anything, but the number of shows and movies that are original to Netflix is going to up A LOT. $7 billion is being spent on original programming by Netflix next year. So, yeah, if they don't produce it, it's still theirs. It's on Netflix, which means they don't have to share with any other network or service. And I'm actually cool with some of it being crappy, because at least a new idea that turns out to be crap is better than an old idea that was good and someone decides to remake it. That's the problem I have with movie studios. They get thousands of new ideas every year to make into movies, but studios would rather do remakes or reboots or sequels or prequels or whatever, because they know people will come. The last thing we needed was Ghostbusters rebooted. We didn't need Point Break remade. We didn't need a reversioned Robocop. So if you have to crack several eggs to bring out some real amazing omelettes, I'll support you 100%.

stef. edge you are correct.. not debating the exact details of either stories or characters or genres or time periods or creators.. just that Thomas Jane played The Punisher in a movie and really wanted to continue playing "The Punisher" well after the backlash from the poor reception of that movie. Thomas Jane went as far as to make a punisher short, that you may be able to find on RU-vid called, Dirty Laundry. So my joke was that the "Netflix" punisher trailer just dropped and Ole Thomas Jane the actor playing the husband in this Stephen king adaptation only heard Netflix and wife murdered and was all in... get it get it 😂haha.. no?😔

@Naitouingu Ashihei The song: "Practically the only thing that wasn’t allowed was listening to Vaughn Monroe’s 1944 recording of “The Very Thought of You,” which is heavily featured in 1922’s trailer, because not even the most liberated flappers and philosophers were emboldened enough to break the laws of time and space. The song wasn’t even written until 1934, when it was most famously recorded by Ray Noble and his Orchestra, with Al Bowlly on vocals." Lovecraft is a bitch to do well since so much detail is left to the readers imagination. His descriptions are great at setting up a base canvas while your own imagination goes nuts with the details. Putting a face/form to a lot of his work would take something away from it. Though there are a few stories where film might work.

Every man breathing struggles with those inner demons, whichever form they may take. Every parent tries and usually fails at protecting their children from the cruelty of the world. No sin goes unpunished, no secret goes untold. Those are just a select few of the themes that resonated with me in the film. Thomas Jane killed it. I love loved him since punisher, the mist and deep blue sea. Almost unrecognizable in both physical appearance and dialect. If you enjoy the philosophical/deeper meanings of things you will enjoy this flick

Thomas Jane and his epic drawl makes the whole movie. Beautiful transformative work, you have to take a long hard look at him to process the fact he is Thomas Jane he is so deeply immersed in his character. "I believe that there's another man, inside every man. The conniving man."

Not saying she deserved what she got but... she was kinda pushing it. I hate it when a woman forces the kid to live with her against their will. The boy loves his dad and his home and doesn't agree to the divorce. That was your decision.. and he hates you for your sh*tty personality. You wanna leave, then leave alone and put up with the consequences of your own decision. But your ego can't handle that so you have to literally burden everyone around you to bear those consequences for you! Actually, I take it back. She did deserve what she got.
