This video highlights a walk throughout the car to show the vehicle's overall general condition of my 1925 Packard. The car is in excellent condition, given that it is nearly a 100-year-old car. The car is titled in Texas, and I also have the original Maryland vehicle registration from the last person that inherited the car, in addition to a letter from the aunt letting the grandson of the original owner know that she was passing the car down to him the car as it has been passed down from one generation to another. Also, there is a letter from the motion picture studio requesting the services of the vehicle to be featured in the movie Sunrise to Campobello about the life of FDR. The car, without a doubt, has a history and a story, all well documented. I purchased the car in Florida in 2013, and upon arrival in Texas, I took the car to a gentleman that worked on these cars, and he owned one himself. He went through the entire vehicle and performed some routine maintenance which included the following:
Replacement of the head gasket
Clean, coat, and paint the gas tank
Check all of the break work
Tune the car
New stainless-steel gas line
Make the Vacuum feed fuel system functional
New exhaust system wrapped in thermal cloth strips
Since last summer, I have also installed a new set of 7-ply tires with new inner tubes on fully restored rims that were sandblasted and coated with POR-15.
Repair the starter motor and rebuild the Felizer, although it is rough as I have yet to figure out how to fine-tune it.
I installed a new Uga horn, and regarding the horn button, I have it, but it needs to be installed.
I have a new Canvas top I made for the car that needs to be installed. Also, note that the convertible top bows were restored.
The floor heater is missing a connecting T to the exhaust to make it functional.
The Body is in its original great to excellent condition with no rust.
The Speedometer works, but the wiring for the headlights is not working, as I had to disconnect it because of the frayed wires to the lights.
