PurSang Argentina doesn't build replicas. A replica is a car designed to look like an original, not to be an original. PurSang makes 100% accurate re-creations of prewar European sports cars, re-creating all the original parts, and using all the original plans and methods of production. Everything, from the engine casting, to the body work, to the interior, to the wheels, is made in house at PurSang and the result is a stunning machine that is indistinguishable from the original car, both aesthetically and dynamically. It weighs 1600 lbs, and is powered by a 2.3L Supercharged straight-eight making 140 HP.

This is why people started loving cars. I hope some manufacturer out there is listening and realizes true driving enthusiasts don't care about the performance as much as the experience. Cars like this can teach so much to modern machinery that are so much better at everything, except actually at being fun.

Can't wait for the track footage, btw... PS: I used to live down the road from where the shop is, in Newport.

unfortunately true driving enthusiasts make up a very small percentage of the people who buy sports cars, especially the high end ones. I would stand by saying that the average customer of a new Bugatti is not a true enthusiast, and rather just someone with too much money to spend

Before the 2000s and even before the 90s when it was brought by Italians, this is what Ettore Bugatti wanted to build. While it is more known for its modern supercars, it is great to see where the brand heritage came from. This type 35 is a beauty to behold.

I can only imagine the type of guys back in the day that were designing and testing this stuff. They must have been some awesome guys to hang around. Seeing you two in the car reminds me of really old silent black and white movies with the two Red Baron looking guys and their leather skull caps and big goggles. And the straps for the cap are just flapping in the wind. I would love to work for the builder of this car, his attention to detail and historical accuracy is just incredible. Great video man

this guy is super cool for the way he was letting matt drive that car. There are guys who are super uptight about how matt drives their barely modified cars yet here's this guy telling matt to go for it in this super rare and probably very expensive car. He seems to enjoy letting other people experience his car to the fullest and i like that.

Absolutely brilliant! In the 70s, before they became too valuable, I used to watch original versions take part in tarmac hillclimbing here in the UK and some (very wealthy!) owners still race originals. Vintage car racing does require very deep pockets and whenever I watch clips of, say, The Goodwood Revival, and see very close racing - often with contact and often with collisions with the armco - all I can think of is how expensive a day's racing would be. If I were rich, would I do it? Probably - though the guilt would drive me nuts.

Well, if there's 25 originals, then that's 25 people who will be upset, but on the other hand there's all the other people in the world who are now more likely to get to see one drive past. So, I'd say on balance it's better that these Pur Sangs exist.
