★During the days of Thipao Min, oil trading was good, but crude oil could not be sent regularly from the oil creek to the Thanitaw refinery, and the oil refinery business was not able to be carried out regularly, so the company was liquidated.
★After the third Anglo-Burmese war, the British government took over Burma, 102 royal wells owned by Dinro and the queen and 27 other wells that were not owned by other owners were confiscated and transferred to BOC under a lease contract.
★From about 1888, BOC began drilling for oil using equipment. After the establishment of BOC in Keru Creek, they leased the wells owned by the miners and built new wells. Some of the wells were purchased directly. In taking a lease, because the lease contracts were signed with one-sided terms, If the miners had to rent the pit, they would no longer own it. Not only the BOC, but also the foreign companies that emerged in the future continued to do so.
★In the Myanmar oil field, BOC alone has been producing and growing oil without competition for about 15 years. Later, many foreign companies started entering the oil industry, and there were about 30 oil companies.
★Among these companies, (1) IBP and (2) BBP are prominent companies. IBP Company entered Myanmar's oil industry in the 1900s and was established by Steel Brat Company and started with a capital of one million.Before World War II, an oil refinery was built at the port. Owns an oil tanker and operates a central oil storage and distribution facility in India.
★BBP started in 1910 in Burma's oil industry and was established with a capital of two and a half million pounds sterling, but later it was reduced to one and a half million pounds.An oil refinery was built in Thilawa, and BOC was responsible for publishing and selling the petroleum products produced by that company for many years until the period before World War II.
★The big companies mentioned above were able to expand oil production under the shadow of the British government. There were other small companies that could not withstand the pace of the big companies and had to retreat. The shares of small companies were bought and monopolized by large companies.
