Maybe he means "level" as in the wheel more within arch? Nice chop! Seems the perfect height, can have head head room (even if it's 1") & not be driving 10 degrees to the right! I was more into 2 windows and rag-tops (no tops? LOL) but the "5 widows" are growing on me. It looks like the thing to do with 5-windows is chop it & move the front seats back that they're virtually where the back seat is! Also, LOVE the flathead, its the original "rodding" engine" Kills me to see a SBC in a Ford!
i love old fords, and this one does not dissapoint. great to have something this cool and drive it, much better than something shiny you drag to a car show and stare at.
Wow! That thing is so low you could drive under a semi trailer! There's a video idea...get on the highway and change across 4 lanes of traffic, with one lane being occupied by a semi and go right under his trailer to get to the other side! I dare ya! Very sweet ride, Nate
cool man glad to see it running. looks soo cool on the road.! kinda scary looking also looks tough to see out the front. and thats soo crazy seing your arm hand out the window like that I saw a cop was he eye ballin you?
To each his own...beauty is in the eye of the beholder, etc, I meant to say nice having a bit of head rood. Too much of a chop may look nice on the outside, but having your body leaning 10 degrees +/- to the side to fit in it / drive it is sort of stupid! Looks like you can actually drive (cruise?) comfortably. Hope to have 1/build one someday...& with a Ford V8, blown flathead would be nice! Sleepers are sort of my thing. Imagine a blown Hemi in a '49 Dodge! Just my $0.02, good luck!
Build what you want Pigeonfarmboy. Coolest Model A on the Tube. And it's not a rat rod. It's more a traditional hot rod. Too many potholes where I live. I'd have to put on a "lift" kit to drive around town!
Yep, those old flatheads are good for cruising around at 20mph like you're driving miss daisy, and when you're within walking distance of any garage... =P
Sorry I don't know much about cars, but this car looks super low. One question, do you ever have problems going off speed bump and the bumb hitting the bottom of the body of the car? Please reply, thank you ^^
@pigeonfarmboy. Nice model A coupe. I see that you have a steel roof insert on yours. I also have a model A coupe, and I also have a steel roof insert to put in it (or on top i guess I should say), and I was wondering what you used for support for your steel roof? Did you use custom metal or wood? And how long did it take to weld it on there? And what was your grand total for the whole roof set up after completion? Thank you for your time.
