A beautiful song and recording, new to me. Thank you.

Jimmy Campbell and Reg Connelly, in on (with Ted Shapiro) the similarly titled "If I Had You," teamed up with the great Ray Noble for this sweet one. This is one of the best vocals I've heard from ol' Small, Paul. The guitar -- Kress, I'm going to venture -- provides beautiful support in both the ensemble and vocal passages.

Noble can surely be compared to Ellington in the distinctive voicings he used. His tunes are to me more memorable. Have they been covered more?
