Yes, I find borax crystals tend to form a bit smaller. These large crystals are cool. I love making crystals although it’s been a while since I made some last. With the borax, I found that by keeping the solution warmer longer, by draping a towel over the container to insulate, more crystals grew. This for sharing

New subscriber here. This is the second video of yours that I watched. I just stumbled across your videos. I have never seen such a thing! I did not get to do this in school as so many claim. I have to ask myself where have I been all my life? LOL. I cannot wait to try some of these amazing works of art. Thank you!!!! Blessings sent from Grandma Gia in the Ozarks

Love it. Hmmm… wondering if the solution can be ever so slightly tinted with food coloring (or inks) so colored crystals can be grown. Can’t wait to see what you do next!!

Julie, that's so cool. You can also do this with borax. If you just stick a string in it, you'll get a string of crystals, and you could use for the edge of your molds.

So cool! I've seen Michelle from Glitz n Glitter do the borax crystals, and I have a feeling you're going to love the results you get with borax! But I'd not yet seen anyone do the alum powder ones, and this is certainly impressive! I can't wait to see you make more crystals in general! So fun to watch and can feel your excitement as well :)

This is You grew some huge crystals in no time! Can’t wait for the borax crystals. Maybe if you weigh the same volume of plain water then weigh the water / solution that’s leftover you can then add more aluminum sulfate to equal your weight recipe at the start. The plain water shouldn’t weigh the same as the leftover solution. So the extra weight is alum .
