Matt I am impressed as to how quickly you've built your business and how far it's progressed in the few years I've been watching. I think that you ought to do a vehicle update vid once every quarter; show your cars, state your plans for each, inform us which are keepers, which will be put for for sale, etc. Keep up the good work I'll be watching! Pete the P-car guy.
I feel for Mike. I rehabbed a 4000 sq ft warehouse about four years ago thru the summer and it was awful. 18 - 30 cubic Ft. dumpsters of trash, debris etc and also put a new rubber roof on the building. It was a grind to say the least. Hang in there Mike, it will all be over soon. Another great video guys.
Thanks for inviting us to follow on.................. great stuff. Just love these vids, (my week was sadly not as exciting), not sure about the blue gear knob. Love as always, Reading, England.
Mike, such a huge load of parts still left at the old warehouse! Hard to believe that all that will fit into the new building, even with the racks. The quantity of parts is amazing!!
A week we all wish we could have! Love how you always get the best sh!t eating grin whenever you get behind the wheel of one of your cars! That's a proud, happy man enjoying the fruits of his hard work! Amazing progress in the new parts warehouse and the upstairs shop! Love seeing how far you've come! Well done! Go Iron Trap, keep moving forward!
Ideal day---work out in the shop for several hours, take my dogs for cheeseburgers for lunch, followed up with dinner at a local diner with the wife followed up with a backroad drive.
Just have to say, I spent my life around cars. My Dad owned an auto wreckers yard when I was a kid. Built numerous hot rods of the day as a teen and then owned an auto collision eight man shop till retirement myself. Seen it all and I feel the urge to lecture you here. Get a railing on that upper mezzanine, only needs a slight error of a few inches of a missed step and you will never forgive yourself for not getting it done. Trust me, make it a priority.
If you want to check the fan operation on the ole Ford truck, just stick a "winter front" on it and take it out for a short ride. Just remember to take the piece of cardboard back out when you're done. Don't ask me how I know.
I really enjoy the podcasts as well as these week in the life of videos. I just like seeing all the fun stuff you guys have going on. Living the dream! Will you be at Relix Riot this year? If I bump into you guys I'll try to say hey!
Mike, the task of moving all those parts, while still packing and shipping orders, just seems daunting, at the very least. Good for you for staying upbeat, and making it happen!
Great 'week in the life' video. They really flesh out parts of the Iron Trap story for us. I liked the car show, including the 50s and 60s stuff. That old motorbike on the trailer looked cool. I hope Mike gets some time to work on his cabriolet when that move is finished.
Good to see you guys are getting into your parts moving and the little things thatpop up when you least expect it i enjoyed the show,s the bike trailer from the farm i think they ten times bigger now 👍👌😎
Best investment to build your store right next door to the shop, so y'all don't have to drive across town the crew is all in one spot running to ups or mail. 👍🏽 I'm digging the 30s car's hopefully I get a late 30s car's/truck one day I have a 40s 50s 60's 70's at one point never had a 30s vehical.
Really enjoyed this one Matt. Things are really coming together well! Anxious to see what tail lights you choose for the ruined roadster! BTW, what's happening with Beautiful? BIG FAN even though I've really only recently found you and your guys! I look forward to the next one! Take care buddy!
I respectfully suggest that you get Mike his office in the new building with all the shipping boxes and get revenue producting activety job one, sure it's "fun" running around in all your toys, but please get the revenue stream rolling. All your other hands can do the moving. I worry for you guys. Much affection
Did you guys ever use for an alarm for any of your cars a “ mercury” switch. I had one in my 39 Pontiac Silver streak and 58 Corvette. It was an “old school” remedy, but fool proof alarm.
I watched your old videos from 4 years agon on the Sweetheart T and it was odd not seeing Steve. Also, it appears you have decided not to put the large window in the upstairs.
How do you get away with a commercial shop in a residential zone or have Philly environs gotten that bad? Also love the "Power Steering by Armstrong"....
@@IronTrapGarage Have you seen one lately? I would love to see someone build a Bitchin' car like that. But it seems like those guys have gotten sidetracked by more pressing projects. I'll probably have to wait till winter to get that particular itch scratched. Keep up the great work guys. Don't worry about me. I'll be ok. Probably
