My wife and I are the new owners of this car. Bought at the auction. Happy to pay the price and was in between the estimate shown on the auction. Since we are Brits living in Florida, it is being shipped as I write this. Can't wait for it to arrive. The staff were great in helping us with this.

Derek likes to show off how the doors shut on older cars lol! Lovely old Morris 8 & nicely restored too. Whoever will buy this hopefully will look after it well & keep it garaged too.

Superb restoration , would have made north of £11k a few years ago , will be interesting to see what it achieves now.Suffolk registration , possibly supplied new by T.Nice & Sons of Bury St Edmunds , pre-war Morris agent .

My dad's first car was a secondhand Morris 8 Tourer. It was mid 1950's and I was 5 or 6 years old. He loved it, and it was named "The Flea" He eventually sold it and bought a used Austin 7, I can't remember how long he had it, but he sold the "7" and then bought the "8" back from the woman he had sold it to. My memory is a bit fuzzy for the length of time he kept it after that.

Perhaps the old boy just felt at his age, the risk of damaging it if he started driving around in it was too big a risk or perhaps he felt that the car had been rather over restored and lost interest in it. Who knows but longing to see how it sells.
