I'm working at a power station in sourthern Lousiana this past two weeks. The plant got severely damaged during Hurricane Ida in 2021 and has been offline ever since. We are working on the recovery effort.
Behind that plant is a much older diesel generating station built in 1936 and houses 7 abandonded, hulking 5 megawatt diesel generators. I will take you on a 5-minute tour of the old facility. The city of Houma is considering turning this into a museum. I hope they do! Anyways, C'mon!, let's go!!!
