Merry Christmas Lou and another great video. My aunt and uncle used to tell me about the Packard my Grandpa had its was a 1937 Packard I was a 2 door sedan and was black. I have never seen one like it but I do have the Packard center caps off of my grandpa's Packard. I'm guessing that it got traded in on a newer vehicle. He bought it used in the early 1940's.

Thanks, Lou for bringing a Classy Classic to a Classy Classic Christmas Eve! I am forever peeved that today's vehicles are "almost" shapeless and dull in comparison to the curves, lines and stylings of cars up to the 70s. With some exceptions, in the 80s even the mustangs started losing definition. So sad. (sorry for my rants - I miss classy cars). This Packard is a stunning work of art! She's gorgeous! No wonder Bob Hope and Clark Gable owned these babies! Let me throw in a few Interjections (no charge) WOW! WOW! WOW! and another WOW! for the Rumble Seat!! Thanx again Lou! And Merry Christmas to You, your family and to Claud and Alex.

I took this beast out for a test ride today. I had a 1941 Packard 110 convertible, and thought this would be better. She's a beauty for sure, but either the steering needs alignment, or those massive whitewall bias plies (or both) made the road trip I took feel like I was on a big skateboard. I love the car, but it was a real handful on a bumpy road. You have to get used to the no turn signals of that era as well. Been awhile since I had to use hand signals. Those power assisted brakes will throw you forward if you aren't "just so" with the pedal. First gear is as tall as can be, I wonder how it would be in traffic going from a dead stop on a steep hill. 45 MPH is about her limit. And mine! I passed on the purchase opportunity. Mixed feelings about that.

13th series Packards are probably the last of the ones I go gaga over. Still had the "right" grill shell, but this one has such beautiful streamlining in the fenders in that profile. What a stunner! My folks dated (in the late 50s) in a '36! Was there a 110? I think it was a lesser model. Used more oil than gas (!), must've had a rough former life.

I wonder how many were built? Seems inconceivable such a grand car wouldn't be taken care of. Even in 1936 it would have been wildly wow able, in the middle of the depression. Yellow was a popular Packard color, especially for convertibles. The greatest American luxury brand, Packard. Similar to the Packard used in the movie "Chinatown ".

Lou the owner was midway on an interesting story concerning the acquisition of the car when you interrupted him with your attempted bit of levity on his use of the word presented. That was really rude but in typical Lou fashion you completely ended his explanation and went off on something else. Please put yourself in the background and the owners car story in the forefront. Have set questions as prompts for the owner but allow them to give all the pertinent information about their car uninterrupted. A car interview crib sheet. You do manage to get some of these questions in your MCS. What: the make and model Where How and When: Where and how and when did you get it. What: What have you done to the car since you acquired it? Unique/ Special: What unique and special features/ options does this car have? Then as the owner lists them have your video focusing on that part. Lou as always you manage to find and feature some amazing unique cars. Your outside video of the cars is perfect. When it comes to the interior it's a mixed bag. Have the owner give specific information on the engine: horse power, carburetion, brakes, A/C, ect. Then have your video focused on that part. If the car has been in the owners possession for a long time or spans multiple generations let that story be told. You have done that on several occasions. Thank you for finding and featuring these cars. As a car guy I enjoy seeing them and meeting the owners and observing how happy and proud they are being featured on your show.

"the owner was midway on an interesting story concerning the acquisition of the car when you interrupted him with your attempted bit of levity on his use of the word presented. That was really rude but in typical Lou fashion you completely ended his explanation and went off on something else. Please put yourself in the background and the owners car story in the forefront." Please check your Subscribers #'s vs mine. FOCUS! My puns people like. Billy don't be a HERO! Lou

Merry Christmas Happy Hanukkah Happy Holidays Everyone To me the closing of Packard signifies the greatest loss in American automotive history. I recently watched all of the reviews of the 2020 Bentley Flying Spur and thought that if everything had gone right with Packard the new Flying Spur is the Packard that could have been.

Alright, Lou, here's the deal: Claude passed away, and this Packard is now being offered to me. But, I really want a mid-to-late 1930's V-12 2-door Roadster Packard in similar condition. That would cost about $25 K more, but that's THE Packard to bee bop around in. Not that this one is a slouch. But all things being equal, I value your opinion. I'd like to pull the trigger on something bigger. But, I'd like to hear the hyperventilated rantings of a real car guru like yourself, first. Thanks!

Lou you are going to have to stop repeating yourself or at least edit it out, I stopped watching after you asked the man for the third or fourth time how long he’s owned it.
