in response to your intro - hojbjerg is a bad choice. if you want to get 194 or even 193 draft you can't have any 83s in your squad so there is no point taking him or anyone under 87 rated unless there's no other choices or maybe one 86/87 rated if they're going to super help chem

@@yahyahashash7455 you have to risk it if you’re trying to get a 194. Even if an 83 helps you get to 100 chem, there’s no chance at getting a 194 if he’s in your squad. Have to take the higher rated and hope you’re still able to get chem in the end.

How are you expecting a 194 when you are always going for the safe pick. Choosing an 81 rated starter over 87 bench player will make it almost impossible to get a 194 as you cannot have low rated players it will bring the overall rating down. Only take chemistry over the rating if the rating difference is small like 1 or 2 ratings Jesus was a fine pick but when the rating difference is 6 you cannot justify choosing the lower rated player.

Yeah the Greenwood pick was awful. If you’ve got an 81 in the squad there’s no chance of getting a 194.

Nep, in this player pick (25:53) you have got Salah. He could have gone instead of Sancho to the RW and then that 95 rated wijnaldum on the bench could do something. I don't know, how would that work, but i think, you should have at least try it ✌️ PS, loving the content!

7:49 I would’ve gone with diatta because you are aiming for a 194. In my opinion, to get a 194 you have to take risks because realistically you aren’t going to get a 194 with Greenwood in your starting lineup

Nep acts like he does balanced drafts for chem & rating, but this video shows that he heavily drafts for rating. Could’ve got 100 chem on every draft in this video and still keep the ratings.

It’s a lot more elusive to get the higher rateds, so always chose the super high ones. Also mainly go for the highest rated unless it’s perfect for chem and 1-3 ratings lower. Better to try and predict regular pops towards that may appear in the end and try and bank on them instead of being short sighted and sacrificing the rating because getting 91 rated 100 chem is nothing so got to build with anticipation you can sort the chem (for example, taking an 81 Greenwood is pointless for a 194)

When you pick chemistry you have a good chance of getting 191-192. If you pick the highest rated you might reach a 194 but just 1 in like 100 drafts (if you get the idea). So are the point to get a decent draft or gamble to get the really big one?

In greenwood’s case, you can never go with an 81 and get the draft youre looking for ultimately, the 87 could definitely be in a 194.

Thing that always sticks with me Nep is that it’s irrelevant how high your cards are rated if you don’t get that 100 Chem to start with. For me I’d take that Xavi over the Acuna for that massive Chem boost and then build the rating once you smash the 100 chem rather than chase those last few chem points or rely on a manager. Really been enjoying these vids the last few weeks, keep them coming!

I really think that is the wrong way around. There obviously has to be a balance but the draft should be starting out with taking the highest rated players and just seeing what EA throws at you. After picking the starting 11 you then gradually move towards building the chem and taking the players that fill the gaps. Obviously in the end it all comes down to luck anyways, but you just won't get a high rated draft, if you take the chem picks. Chem is not the priority at the start.

this is wrong. Think of it this way, its much harder to get the high rating than it is to get the 100 chem. The right way to go is take the high ratings to hopefully get the rating and then hope that you're able to piece together the chemistry.

In order to get higher ratings, when u take like 2 or 3 huge ratings at a time, go take a pick in the bench, because it's 99% chance it's gonna be a dead pick.

we as viewers understand that taking someone like xavi/portu gives more chem and means you probs have to hit that lucky prem lw etc or else your left with 90 chem, but going for a 194 thats exactly what u need, they pretty much all have to be lucky/high rated picks otherwise every draft would be 194. we’d rather see you go for it and give yourself an actual chance even if that means you fall 5-10 chem short for example.

I personally prefer themed drafts simply because the 194 challenge is very unsatisfactory to watch if you don't get it in the end. Of course it isn't your fault that you don't get it but I just prefer seeing you succeed at a challenge than not.

My thought on a lot of rare gold versions of cards like Salah are that for the 194+ the 90 rated Salah isn't enough when he has better cards or an even better example is Varane whos base card is 86....86 is just not cutting it for those 194s

There's too much of a variety of cards from different leagues that pop and not enough icons, so important to take icons for any hope of getting the chem especially with formations with difficult links

When you take a higher rated player instead of a lower rated one and it ends up not working (like the situation with salah and portu in the pick), you dont exactly prove a point here. Its the risk you have to take and if it doesnt work it wasnt meant to be. Its classic nepenthez, always tries to have a battle of opinions and tries to prove that he is always right

Love but hate that hes gotta go out of his way to explain his choices and people still complain lo.. He does what he thinks would work, he makes mistakes and he cant predict the future. Shit happens, were here for the content and entertainment and if people keep complaining as much as they do we might not even get the drafts anymore. I think it was a very tough choice and I would've picked Acuna as well. Although the more drafts I see, the more I realize that Icons seems to be really rare currently. Seeing that they're the glue between different league players I think there is a solid argument to be made that they should be prioritized over high rated picks though.
