You remind me of my dad. I worked at his gas station, started when I was 14. He was a good teacher also. Explained how and why, showed how and then said your turn. Always supported the effort. Said, if you screw it up, we do it again. But remember the screw up time comes out of your check not mine. He was kidding but made his point. Miss him.

Love it when you do the shop teacher voice reminds me of high school shop teacher telling us how to strip down a motor step by step just like that and if you weren't listening he would quiz you on it and you better get it right, or he would say get the hell out of my shop take the monkey grease out of your ears good times so long ago a few of us even went to his funeral when he was cremated and his urn what's the shape of a distributor he made himself. Love the show up here in the great white North Canada Montreal to be exact. God bless

Congratulations Sam. I’ve been involved in the trades for 25 + years as an amateur car builder and a professional commercial refrigeration / HVAC mechanic. In case you didn’t realize it yet, getting to apprentice under Mike Bello to learn how to build cars is equal to winning a lottery jackpot… Give Mr. Bello 5 years of your life and at the end of that time you’ll be an amazing and highly skilled car builder yourself. Mike - I love TIG welding!

When I'm working at the edge of a table, I've found you can clip a vice grip or close up a large crescent wrench on the edge of the table. It gives ya something to use as a rest. This young fella is going to learn pretty quick. He has desire and talent....good combination for sure. He'll look back,(years from now) and be very thankful you were willing to teach him. You're not just a great craftsman.... you're a good guy and a great teacher.👍
