Made to test 16mm motion picture projectors' sound, this JIffy Test Film (which starts around :30) has an optical sound track that sounds quite good on our LaserGraphics ScanStation scanner. Various test sounds featured include distinct tones, various loudness settings, and so on. At 3:30 is a dialogue test featuring a bit of a 1950s TV show.
At 3:57 is the trailer for the Orson Welles film "Citizen Kane" which was apparently used to further test sound.
