@@DafnaBarel I don't know if this is the right place for this question, but do you know of, or maybe someday might do a video on, hairstyles for hot windy weather? It's crazy windy all year round where I live and I can't seem to go anywhere without putting my hair in a ponytail and wearing a hat/completely covering up my hair to hold it down. My favorite hat is sunbleached now because of having to wear out all the time, lol.
Hey for sure it’s an option! You can also use a hairdryer on the rolls for a few minutes to speed it up, or even get a hairdrying cap that attaches to your hairdryer. I think I might have to do a video with tips for this because I see a lot of people are having issues with the sleep and I can definitely relate! I might have some hacks for that to suggest 🌷
Beautiful! Thank you for the tutorial. May I ask where your earing's are from? I have stretched ears and I cannot find vintage inspired plugs anywhere. They are so cute! Much love x
Thanks! These earrings are by Spledette , I just remove the stud part and glue on very thin metal plugs to the back. Just have to make sure the base is at least the size of your plugs
I don't know, how you people do this. I tried sleeping in pillow rollers several times (including last night), now that my hair is long enough for them not to fall out. I always wake up countless times during the night. They don't hurt exactly...but they certainly bother me enough, to not be able to sleep through the night 😕. Such a shame, because it's the only thing that really gives me long lasting curls.
Oh wait I might have some tips! First of all- get the softest pillow you can find at your house, like one that is normally too mooshy to even use for sleep ☁️ second- take at least 2, or even 3 hair scarfs and wrap your head in them, that way it’s so thick you will barely feel them. It looks super awkward but it helps a lot!
@@DafnaBarel Oh thanks, that's useful advice, indeed. I use a silk sleeping bonnet, which holds the curlers in place fairly well...but I sleep on one of those firm, flat neck support pillows - it never occurred to me, that that could be the problem. Makes sense though, now that I think about it. I really want to make this work, because the curls this produces are really damn near indestructible. They last all day and I even have nice second day hair, which I never get with heat styling.
Hey, sorry I buy them locally and pretty randomly but maybe check out @lucillelocks on ig, she has a great online shop for vintage tools. Also vintagehairstyling.com has a great selection!
