I love these little old add-your-own-motor benchtop tools. They seem like they were quite popular in the 30s and 40s. I have a mini table saw that I got in already restored shape and it's a bit terrifying.

What makes these videos magic is I start thinking hey I could do that! Then by the end I’m like boy am I glad I didn’t have to do that there’s just no way I’d ever figure out that one part!

As always a great video and another tool saved. We forget in these days of big hardware stores and the internet just what it meant for a person to get one of these in their workshop. It’s great seeing these mundane old items being treated with the same love and passion as the first owner when it arrived and they unboxed it! Please keep up the good work

Very nice machine there. I was surprised you didn't have to fight the fasteners that much. You cracked me with the clamps, saying I have too many clamps is like saying there is too much bacon on my sandwich. Words that are never spoken by anyone. ;-) Looking forward to more videos.

Just a heads up, the height of the upper blade guide is set to the thickness of the wood being sawn, plus about a 1/4" to 3/8" for safe working clearance. Also the clamp scenario was a hoot and I also liked the drill spinning one of the main pulleys. I would like to see much more of your shows.Great job. GOD bless.

Lovely restoration. I have a nearly identical saw that bears a Montgomery Wards Powr-Kraft logo. I put new tires on it, cleaned it up enough to work well, and now keep it in the kitchen as a little butcher saw. It's dandy for splitting game hens while they're still frozen and saves me a trip to the big band saw in the shop. Now, however, you've shamed me into really tearing into it and making it gleam.
