@@Bean_can546 Depends on the rockets, in my experience. The bigger, the better for attracting missiles away, but the more, the more you have to use and more you can use to spread a heat signature around the aircraft to confuse the missile and turn away. I think the smaller ones actually work better against Manpads because of how many you can fire and how big the radius of the “target” would become, allowing for a well timed dodge roll to make the missile miss, but against quicker, more maneuverable missiles, the big rockets seem better.

Even mediocre. My K/D is horrendous with most US planes (doesn’t help that 9.3 subsonics with no flares fight Su25s and MiGs with R60Ms) but the A-10 is just insanity. You’ll never get to destroy a base so once you ditch the attacker mindset you can beat basically anything in a dogfight, the main issue is people running since even the Frogfoot is 200+mph faster. I will say survivability is basically nonexistent though. A single round from a mid-map Gepard or AA pilbox will instantly rip your wings and tail off, a burst from 20mms will tear you to shreds, meanwhile the Su-25 can tank a half-dozen AAMs and hundreds of rounds.

@@wwiiguy That's hard to do. The M2A4 makes a pretty good AA even in high tiers because of it's fast reload speed and how many machine guns it has.

Not really, it failed miserably against goat herders hidden in mountains. It is a good place, don't get me wrong. Probably the only American plane I respect. But no single thing (except obviously nuclear bombs and thermobaric bombs) can win head on against anything on this earth. Perhaps when hypersonic missiles are used regularly on planes, since they are fast enough that flares don't work and other defence systems fail too.
