This pilot was gracious enough to take me up in his fantastic airplane!
Nevermind the fuel gauge reading, there was plenty of fuel. He said the indication was obviously not correct.
If you have the opportunity to ride in a plane like this, you should do it!

Bruh, the FAA is one arm of the gov't that doesn't let anything slide. You simply CANNOT fly an airplane LEGALLY without FAA certfication... So, that is why I have no problem riding in an 81 year old airplane. Of course, stuff happens randomly, but most likely it will be the pilot's fault rather than the airplane.
