It's never too late to be grateful to people shine the way to Us... Thank you very much for sharing your incredible knowledge. My Best Regards. Laurent/Geneva/ SWITZERLAND
I just finished my first Flathead 45 rebuild. Solely inspired by watching your videos. The only issue I had was i couldn’t get the engine to make any oil pressure. I had a brand new V-Twin oil pump installed, bought a 2nd pump and tried that. Still no oil pressure. Bolted on a used OEM pump and she had oil pressure!! Very frustrating. But thanks for your videos!!!
that just goes to show you the quality of parts out there. the new stuff looks the part but fails on getting the job done. that is why i always prefur using stock parts whenever possible. tatro
Hi Tatro, About the the 2 gaskets for the oilpump; The one with the long cutout instead of the 2 holes below the large round hole is for a '58 up oilpump i believe. I have to use one on the pump of my '63 G engine. Thanks for the great video's!
Hi Tatro, I'm running a '63 G engine and transmission in a solo frame. I'm currently having the engine rebuild. The cam bushings in the crankcase have at least 1/5 cut away from the edge (i have a picture if you want) where otherwise the groove would be. I'm guessing it's done to get more oil to the cams. It is nicely done, no amateur job. It had a Linkert DC on it when i got it, so it was a go-slow Servi-car. Do you know if this is a factory part or custom machined? I can't find it in any partsbook. Thanks!
Hi. The points on cams should be setting together with hole point on oil pump and together with point on flywheel on crankcase screen? Thanks You for help!
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Kaison Zeke i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Im working on a 46 UL when I put the timing mark in the center of the window and time the breather gear. Then I put the cams in on there marks the pinion gear is three teeth forward from the mark. WHY? I am stumped. Please advise.
because you are a dumbass. what are you doing? setting the cam timing, breather timing or ignition timing? what about the valves? pick the one you want to do and do it. i don't know why people think they need to or can do everything at one time or spot. you don't see me doing this crap in my videos. just take one thing at a time and get it done. tatro
Should I use that gasket cinch on a modern bike like a TC88 primary cover? Probably a dumbass for asking but want your opinion. I’m about to take off the whole chain case for new seals.
