My husband and I were so amazed and pleased at our find! A 1944 Vintage newspaper! What did people think and feel or write about just after the WWII? In today's upload I will simply turn the pages of all the newspapers we found in the floors of our 1940 built home. No talking.

So excited for this one! It's incredible to see 80 year old newspapers so well-preserved. Museum curators might want to consider using flooring to store historical documents. 😅 I wonder if a historical society might want those papers.

This is such a treasure! Thank you for showing these to us. We bought a home that was built in 1915 and found a trunk in the attic filled with old dresses, gloves, magazines, photos and other odds and ends. I love finds like yours. Hope your day is great!

I LIVE for these videos and this was so relaxing but hard to nod off to cuz I was pausing the video every few pages to zoom in to read the articles and ads. Lol Very fascinating how life was back then. The prices, the culture, how a lot of brands from back then still exist today, etc. And thanks to reading the movie pages I got a new Abbott and Costello movie to watch. Lol Here's to finding more vintage newspapers in your flooring!! 😊❤️

Whoa! I just realized that 1944 is 80yrs ago. My parents were married 4 yrs! This is wild. How did u preserve that paper? My father saved an Ebony magazine, from 1972. I haven't looked at in in yrs, but I remember the fashions & the hairdos. I was 12 going on 13 then & in JHS.

WOW 80 years ago! That’s when Albert Einstein was still alive! Did you just randomly find this with your hubby while renovating the floors? And I just realized they had color printing in the 40s😂 I thought they only had it in the 70s! And the words on the newspapers are so small?! How are those 80 yr old grannies gonna read it 😲

Fun fact- 1944 was the only time the St. Louis Browns of the American League made it to the World Series. Unfortunately they lost to their crosstown rival the St. Louis Cardinals in 6 games(4-2). The team went defunct in 1953 and later became the Baltimore Orioles.
