Beautiful car ! 👍 about cried when a big pine tree fell on my 48 coupe putting my 46 coupe together ! Looking back 35 years should have made a homemade convertible from it ! 😥
@@GMCTIM We all have old car regrets.. But man those old fleet lines are beautiful on another level.. they just get more attractive the older they get... To tell you the truth.. i feel modern cars and trucks have gotten so bad that its difficult finding something attractive about them. Honestly, new cars are ugly man. We need to reproduce the classics.. if ot ain't broke dont fix it.. at least keep the bodies looking as close to the original classics as possible. Thats just my opinion
I gotcha. That rap is loud and sick, lol. I ran into a guy out here that had a 50 Delux with 2" all the way back with a split manifold. Had a different sound I never heard before. I'm used to small diameter pipes myself. I wish I could work on my 47 :(
I'm the owner of this '48 Fleetline. Done a lot of extra work to it and added several accessories. Check my facebook page: fleetline aerosedan under file ' my fleetline + accessories '. Also lot's of pictures of chevrolet fleetline aerosedans and technical info.
Looks nice but it sounds horrible. Also too bad he gave it an air bag suspension. I know some people like the lowered look, but honestly those cars look best in their original stance.
That is the sound of a 6 cylinder with dual exhausts. Nothing else sounds better at full song on the road. Thanks for sharing and much thanks to the owner!
Nice car but that engine has to go. To a degree, homies try to make their car sound baddass with glass packs, but nothing beats the sound of a semi-high performance engine.
No, I'm 53 years old and been around cars most my life. Some of my relatives are into the low-rider scene and have built some nice cars. It's been my opinion that their engines also needed to be replaced with 350 engine with a mild cam.
This fleetline aero is bad ass but dude need to quit reving it so much I know how it is when get glass packs you wanna hear them all the time but its not great for that old inline 6 still bad ass one of my fav.
I know these get big money, but I wish we'd stop losing these bombas and cruisers to the overseas buyers. Especially the California cars. I'm just being greedy, don't wanna share. Here's another Cali '48 Fleetline I won't get ;)
Hey Guys, It is a small world out there.. I am all for ANYONE that like 'em, go for and and BUY 'em.. This one was For Sale, ya want it to stay here, buy it. I have bought stuff from across the water and brought it here... Only to sell it back to guys over there.. Dont give the crybaby BS that you dont want to see 'em leave-- pull out your wallet, sell that Hyundia -- Toyota - Honda, that you are driving and buy a REAL car-- Yep, I drive my 41 Caddy as much as I can.
@djjc76 Looking good. That 48 is pretty phat. Love those pipes! Did you go 1" 1/4 straight back from the split manifold? Do you know of anyone with the small chrome belt for the back of a 47 Stylemaster? I am missing the belt for mine :(
Don't worry, engine runs like new and 2ea exhaust dampers have been installed. Sounds great now. Please comment on what you know and not what you see/hear. This car was'nt finished at the moment :)
martin martin um no.... For one that would take the value out of the car significantly and the fact that this car has been restored to near stock condition. The 235 inline 6 this car comes with is more than enough for it. It's a Chevy bomb cruiser, not a hot rod like you want it to be (then again this is just my opinion). Also adding NOS accessories would increase the value quite substantially since there are some rare GM accessories for her. The sun visor should be kept on just as intended as well..
