You tear these things apart with such ease! I loved seeing the propeller shaft removed from the torque tube, how I wish I could do that when I replaced my okie bushing! What a BEAR of a job it was for me, the special tool was useless, had to drift it out using the dowel pin holes 😮...glad that's behind me! And yes...these 48 Chevy videos are GREAT! Thank you for inviting us along! God bless!

Support Your Local Sheriff; Hot Fudge Sundae (Dairy Queen) -- all good stuff. Thanks for tearing that punkin apart. I always like watching differential gears, drivelines, etc. removed & reassembled because that is a weak point in my brain housing group. Looking forward to the next one.

Thank you sir for this one! I have a complete rear end assembly that I intend to go completely through just like you are doing here, and this series will make the job so much easier! Then I will just swap out the original one for the rebuilt unit. Thank you again! Great job!

I think that using lock-tite 609 bearing retainer compound would be easier and works just as well as the stipple and goop that you are using.

How can I use or modify a ring and pinion gear 3:55 from a 48 Chevy car to fit onto a 38 Chevy car?

Do you know if 1948 3100 Chevy Truck has or should have that parking brake spring that’s attached to the torque tube housing?
