This body, this taamsi body will become so pure through the power of yoga that the way a snake sheds off its skin very easily, similarly, you will shed off this taamsi skin made up of the five elements and receive a new skin. It means it will become rejuvenated. Even the snake has brains. Why is just the example of snake given? Arey, He could have given the example of an elephant or a horse. He hasn’t given the example of an elephant or a horse. He gave the example of snake. Why did He give [that example]? Why is just the example of snake given with regards renewing the skin? (Students comment.) No. It is the snakes that are coiled around the corporeal personality of the Father Shiva. Just like the monkey is very vicious, similarly the snake is also very lustful. So, that snake coils around the sandalwood tree but its poison doesn’t affect it. Shivbaba is certainly the sandalwood. No matter how many snakes are entwined to Him, those snakes will be coloured by Shivbaba’s company. What? (Students: they won’t be coloured.) Those snakes will be… They won’t be coloured? They will certainly be coloured by Shivbaba’s company but Shivbaba can’t be coloured by the company of snakes. So, it isn’t about those physical snakes. Which snakes is it about? The human snakes stay close to Shivbaba because they recognize Him. Those who recognize Him will stay close to Him. How will those who don’t recognize Him at all stay close to Him? Five snakes are shown, aren’t they? They are shown around the waist, arms, neck and also on the head. The one shown around the waist illustrates the vice of lust. The ones shown on the arms illustrates anger and greed. The one shown around the neck illustrates attachment. And the one shown above illustrates ego - ‘I am higher even than God’.  They are such egoistic snakes but they stay entwined to God, so they also attain sadgati.
