Showing that "Wayne" now starts and runs like he should. We went through the head, cleaned and lapped the valves, new head gasket, cleaned and milled manifold with new seals and muffler. Tuned a few things on the magneto and carburetor and he runs great.

Don't ever wrap your hand around the crank on an Allis Chalmers. Grab it with your fingers and tuck your thumb in, if it ever backfires it will kick and break your hand

That is absolutely correct! That is why if you look close you can see me put my thumb next to my pointer finder and NOT around crank handle.
