Great first year you two! Watch all the time. Used to live in Cy too. We last lived in Danielson, Ct, off RT 6, across the state line from Foster RI. We moved to Tampa FL in 1998. The Army Reserve (full-time) had me moving a bit until I retired in Jan 2006. Now we live in Edgewater FL, about 21 miles south of Daytona! Keep it up you two Ct Yankees!

I still barely remember my dad taking our family car to the garage he did business with for some work, and he came home with a Shoebox Ford as a loaner car. This would have been in the early 1960's. I have always liked the looks of these cars, and it is great that you and Jess put the work into this one to save its life ( I remember the video where Jess bravely crawled into the trunk to clean it) Keep the entertaining videos coming and keep the vehicle saves coming as well!

Hey Jess & Dave, This is a good video ! It is a wrap up of so much learning, doing and proving that it can be done. Congrats on so many great accomplishments. I have access to a field full of old fords from 1949 up to early 60's that have been dragged in for parting out. Ten of them are shoe boxes in various states of being. Three of them are business coupes which is the body style I like. I have a nice flathead engine I could put in one. I am retired so I have time to tinker with toys like that. Watching you two makes me think I might enjoy a project of this type. I already have a couple other projects in the works but sometimes being able to skip around from one to another, I find helps to keep a person interested in all of them. I am not interested in doing the video thing myself, but I am thankful to those like you who do them. I wish you both a great new year and will be waiting to see your new videos Take Care.

That chrome alternator has got to be worth 10 hp😂. Only problem with it is now you have to pretty up the rest of the engine to match it.

I had a math teacher who drove one like that everyday. It was old then. He was a WWII vet who flew in a B-17 and he told stories about it.

Pro or not, totally irrelevant. You got a job done from A to Z. And it's great to see the old Ford on the road, not at a scrapper. Maybe one single thing is still missing - you haven't protected the new metal on the outside, it will rust very quickly. But the amount of work going in has definitely paid off. Hats off!

You are working with the skills you have and a handful of tools on a car they probably would not have the willingness to save, and you are doing a good enough job to be happy with it, so GOOD FOR YOU. At least you are willing and able to do it. I am no longer able to work on cars and saved an old shoebox.

Your antiloked up fluid is missing the acetone about 50:50 in the mixture. Atf and Marvel Mistry oil are basically the same thing.

In 1962 I bought a 1950 ford two door sedan,a beautiful black car excellent inside and out drove it for about a year and a guy wanted the car and traded a yellow and white 1957 ford two door hardtop for it straight across, I later tried to trade back but was turned down

Fifty ford car box my first car .Bought it shinning shoes for 25 cents a pair .After school .Motor was locked up .My dad took out all plugs and filled cylinders with oil for weeks .Got it unlocked ran the car for three years. Now I'm 73 still thinking about it .Keep up the great work

This car was in the same condition as Jeremy’s 1940 Ford. You both have done a great job so far; same as Jeremy’s and I also believe both cars will be getting better all the time. I wish you and your family and everyone here a Happy 2024.

The MAIN reason that this project was the most popular project is that you , Dave and Jess , took a 73 year old rusted out hulk , that many of us thought was a lost cause . And with your vision , determination and creative talent , showed us how to bring this old car back. And along the way showed us how to improve and upgrade tools that didn't cost a bundle . You have inspired many of us out here , in a way that I believe is unique and powerful. You showed us that we don't have to be loaded with cash to have some really good tools and you don't have to have a Phd. in mechanical/electrical engineering. These things along with both of your wonderful personalities combined to make a very endearing impression on me and many others . These are only some of the very positive reasons that bring me back again and again to watch you work. I joined your second channel and was excited to know how into bicycles and bicycling you two are. I love bicycles and was heavily into restoring many classic 10 speeds and wheel building , painting , pin-striping and at one point , frame building over the last 40 years. So I was really happy to have found out that you and Jess have a love of bicycles as well !!!! So onward and upward my friends !!! You mentioned a few weeks ago that you sometimes find it difficult to get motivated to grind out videos every week.
