The most streamlined car of it's time. Less aerodynamic drag than a '53 studibaker coupe.

My Dad had one of these he bought new 3 years before I was born. He was still driving it when I was about 5. The only negative thing I have about the car is it rode very much like a boat, and at night I would get car sick. He always had bluegrass playing on the radio and to this day I get nauseous when I hear bluegrass music. Not a comment on the music, just an association formed when I was small. The car had a lot of room between the front and back seats, he would routinely put bushel baskets of produce there. It also ate tires, I found out as an adult that it was because they had come out with greaseless fittings at that time and underestimated the amount of grease required over the life of the joint. Thus they wore prematurely messing up the alignment. I can't say he was big on maintenance or he would have replaced them.

But do the seats still fold down to make a bed? Many a Dad refused to let their daughter go out any young buck that showed up in one of these.
