Go back to 1950's Ruislip High Street, first we have a look at June 1953 celebrations of the Queens coronation. Then it's off to 1960's Eastcote House and Haydon Hall.
Then it's a visit to Ruislip Lido and then a visit to Manor Farm.

My aunt had her wedding reception in Eastcote house, I never understood why they knocked it down though, they've never done anything with the grounds.

1950s Ruslip is like Ruislip now. The best thing about the place is that there are five train stations to get you out of there

I lived in Ruislip in those times. Now it’s a foreign country of course (in this “great” “democracy” of ours). BTW. It’s pronounced lie-dow.
