Great Keres. Always wearing bow tie. Winning very strong 1950 and 1951 championships in a row. Perfect gentleman and sportsman. Keres-Taimanov game in 1951 with which Keres won the tournament is a a masterpiece. R.I.P.

Fascinating to see the young guns like Geller, Spassky and Tal in the 50s grow old in the 70s and 80s as the new generation like Karpov and Kasparov take over.

2:42. Spassky always had the hair going on. 14:45. Kasparov and Tal. Too bad we didn't get a real match between them.

Can you believe ALL these GREAT chessmasters were DESTROYED by Bobby Fischer? One guy!

Destroyed? He was just a bit better (before he went completely mad)
@SIMONWilliams-yx3kv
@SIMONWilliams-yx3kv 2 месяца назад
@@GrzegorzSiwek-hf7wb No, he DESTROYED them. When Bobby was 28-29 years old he was UNTOUCHABLE. Who quits in their prime? Bobby did. He may have had a mental illness, but EVERYTHING he ever said turned out to be TRUE. Maybe you should try to be more objective in your thoughts and you too will agree with a lot of what Bobby said.

False: Some of these guys he never played some of them he has a tied record and Tal and Geller have a plus record against Fischer. Fischer did not play Flohr. Fischer’s record against Keres is 4 wins, 3 draws, 3 losses-that’s not “destroyed”. His record against Tal is 2 wins, 5 draws, 4 losses; Fischer never beat Bronstein as they have 2 draws. Korchnoi: 2 wins, 4 draws, 2 losses. Geller: 4 wins, 2 draws, 5 losses.
