I meant to add some text explaining things, but forgot
camera is pointing a bit high, I'll direct it downwards a bit next time
short backstory - I had this very very briefly running about 2 years ago, just for a handful of seconds, before the starter motor packed in (wouldn't disengage, was stuck on the flywheel), but didn't know it at the time.
I put it aside for a while and only came back to it recently. That's when i discovered the starter motor problem, so got a refurbished replacement and checked everything over for running again.
2:00 - I'm not sure why the starter would spin out so easily, seems like the engine would fire just enough to unload the starter, but not enough to actually run.
2:35-3:20 - I mostly was fiddling with the ignition timing and idle air adjustment, to seemingly no avail. 3:35 - Thus decided to leave it and turned off the camera
With the camera off i had the float bowl off just to have a look, i was having some leaks on the carb so wanted to try and check it out. I only tightened a few things down a bit, but otherwise found nothing amiss. I did notice one of the spark plug leads was disconnected, but I don't think it was like that when trying to start before, I think i probably knocked it loose whilst getting the float bowl off. Nevertheless I put it all back and gave it one more go... with the camera off unfortunately. For whatever reason, it started, and ran for a few seconds.
3:36 - I turned the camera back on for the next attempt, enjoy.
