A '54 Chev Powerglide Bel Aire was my first car, even the colour was the same so this build has a special place in my heart. Thanks for making memories come alive.

Shaguar!! Heck yeah! I just picked one up this summer to do the swap on. I'll let you struggle through it first! Mine will go under a pickup so hopefully the frame rail issue doesn't exist.

Sitting here in my cabin in Cut Bank, Montana swigging a frosty Miller Lite, flipped the kids a 50 spot and told them to go to the movies, got my feet up in the lounge chair, ready for Brent to pull the trigger on this engine pull. Man life is good!🕺👍🍻🇺🇸🇸🇪

Hello the 54 motor is the first year with full pressure oiling .very desirable. I sold mine which was a core for 450 .this would help on project costs.i definitely would not scrap it.put it online.the lowriders love these.good luck. Love your show and integrity work ethic. God bless.

Jags used to have turbo 400 transmissions in them just with a different bellhousing that's why they take a Chev 350 exchange so easily. Great work as always Brent. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.

Unusual but I'm no expert with them. Just something I was led to believe over the years. I just remember a Mate putting a 350 V8 in his back in the 80's. Maybe the earlier models had them?

I was not even aware that the jag front suspension was a popular swap into hot rods. I knew that the rear independent suspension was sometimes used in more fancy hot rods. But didn't know the front ends were also sought after. Also, it looked like that jag ran over a scarecrow. I sure hope it wasn't the one from "The Wizard of Oz" as I really liked that movie. Lol. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to the next one.

You might check a mono rear springs to replace your old chevy multi leaf chevy springs. I found on a 41 chevy 2 dr sedan the overall length and rear end pin were the same. A friend made new poly bushings for the ft and rear mono springs eyes and the car rode great.

54 Chevy project is looking good. That Jag motor has value, if it's not blown up. It's a hot rodder choice in England. It's the equivalent of a BMW six. Standard engine for Jaguar since the fifties. It's probably a 3.2 liter. Could be 3.6 or 4.0. Has a lot of potential. Thanks for the video. 👍😎🍺🕵🏾‍♂️🎸🎵👽🧙🏼‍♂️🥂

You can notch the top part of the top hat frame in that location for the steering shaft, but try not to cut into the bottom plate of the frame in that location. The bottom plate is in tension and any cut will make it weaker, the top hat is in compression so you can fill it in with a welded in plate without causing any real problems to the strength of the frame.

Put that jag motor with a supercharger kit in the mud drag car, that would be sick, we have faith you can build that jag motor... bore it out 202 valves and an bigger gears for the timing chain. Then pair it to a 400 turbo with a Hurst shifter

The Jaguar wheels on the other hand, were a revelation! Boy do they look good on the '54 Biscayne! Better than on the Jag itself. You only have 2 of them, but I'd consider trying to get two more. People will look at them and wonder what they are! They add a kind of classyness to the old Chevy.

Could make a bracket flange to relocate the rack where you want it. Just by sliding over the rack and putting at the angle you needed also to line up with your column. Don't know if it would work, I never have tried it. But it should. That will work better than the aftermarket products. What years does it take? Your right on the rear. That's what I was needing or a S10 rear but there I would have to change my drive shaft and trans. Thanks for the show. It was very informative for me.Ronnie.
