Fantastic video your dad must be so proud of you. I had a CB34 Goldie back in 1966 I rebuilt it in my bedroom and re-registered it in 1968 registration no NVY49F. Is this his bike to ride? It's beautiful. I think less cafe-style handle bars would be better for dad. It's hard to be leaned over like that when you're older.

+Amélie Renoncule A 500cc DBD 34 with a 23 tooth cog on the crankshaft and a RRT2 gearbox will do 72mph in BOTTOM gear, but when setting off you are slipping the clutch to 20mph and it is the best part of 35mph before the powerband kicks in!

+Amélie Renoncule You can fit a 21 tooth, or even a 19 tooth sprocket but you then loose top speed. These bikes are made for the race track. Clutches are simple, with cheap cork inserts. I always had a spare clutch on the shelf ready for the burn out!
